I really don't know much about the scene, but seems lately most the people adding me on the myspace have been from France...interesting...maybe I should look more into things there as well...

Went to a few french clubs. Great crowds, always felt a bit like nobody knew what was happening though. They'd shout and scream at every breakdown and buildup, but they'd miss 'big tunes' or classics and lots of stuff that would have got a big response in the UK got nothing in France.
Still some of the best parties I've ever been to though. Can't beat an up for it crowd. The people always make the party.
some random sets from the french free party scene

Dj Teknos, Impact-Teknokrates sound system, Wath Your Back CD 2003.
72 mins.
interesting studio mix. it's divided in 4 parts with short 'interludes', showcasing variations of techno. starts with some lovely acid techno on a trancy tip, works up to the harder 'schranz' techno. Nice but the best is the last part, industrial techno of the like of the regreted Double Face and finishes off with that amazing 'once upon in the west' techno track.

Typical french style techno selecta and speed http://www.squatjuice.com/phpBB2/ima...les/smiley.gif from the sound system responsible for the first 'hardtek' labels, Perce Oreille and Passe Muraille, later known as Expressillon. Don't expect hardtek here tho, this is techno.

something for the minimal techno crew here, that hypnotic tribal thing, network 23 sauce. Disco shoes recommended for that one.
