Using The Yamaha Rm1x

OK..BOUGHT THE THING..
been having alot of fun with it..
question..

im using it to trigger the samplers in REASON and i cant seem to get the rm1x to assign the assignable knobs to the available midi parameters in reason...

i HAVE been able to do this with my oxygen-8 prior by simply selecting
"EDIT MIDI REMOTE MAPPING", Selecting the knob on teh sampler and then twisting the knob on the ox-8...magic..assigned..but i cant seem to do this with the rm1x...

i tried going to the assign knobs option on teh RM but ill pick a knob on the RM and assign the CC code that should be going with it and its not assigning to the correct thing in the redrum...ex: ill assign pan to knob 1 of 8 on the RM but it tweaks the START or LEVEL parameter on the redrum...

any idea what im not doing right??

is there a rm1x forum? or a reason forum? might be more informative to ask it there. Good luck
