Future of synthesis...
http://www.arturia.com/evolution/en/...gin/intro.html
This seems a really good way to go. Kind of like the Nord modular, except that it doesn;t need the computer to program the patches, this can be done on the unit, but it will also open as a VST/AU and perform as one with the processing done on the unit.
I guess analogue modelling synths are really a soft synth in a hardware box, but this does kind of blend the two pretty well. And if it is the engine of all the software ones inside it should be pretty good...
Anyone wanna lend me a couple of £K...?

looks quite interesting. nice to be able to mix and match differant components from differant well known synths.
-
jesus that looks good, and VERY expensive./

I guess it's quite. 'bout £1800... would have been less if the £ was still stronger and a euro was only 50something pence...
But not so much more than some pricey hardware plus a batch of VSTs which is what it is...

I want it. 'Cos I can't deny the fact the software is mostly where it's at, but I am a synth fondler at heart.

to be honest at that kinda money i'd go for the dave smith prophet '08
