Sector-9 :: Exclusive Philippe Rochard Mix & Interview

Representing Switzerland ‘Pascal Vokinger a.k.a Philippe Rochard’ is one of the leading producers in the hardstyle circuit right now. Philippe’s own ‘Sectorbeatz’ imprint is one of the leading labels for the harder generation of dance music with releases such as ‘The Survivors of Hardstyle’, ‘Computerliebe X.’2 and ‘Stamp Your Feet’ while ‘Breathing’, a cooperation between Philippe Rochard and DJ Eruption was picked up by Dutch DJs Luna and Pila for a release on their Straight On label. Philippe has cut his name as a DJ on the international circuit with repeat performances in Holland, Germany, Italy, France and England. We at Sector 9 are happy to announce his UK return on May 16 th where his trademark ‘No Fight :: No Glory’ set is guaranteed to do damage to the Sector9 main room. We catch up for a few words.....

Q. Hi There Pascal, great to have you over for our second instalment of Sector-9. Have you played in the UK before?
A. Hi there, thank you for the Invitation. Yes I have already played in the UK, which was great because the crowd is completly amazing.

Q. What do you think of the current Hard Style scene?
A. It depends which country. In Switzerland it’s becoming more an underground scene, but I like this as it’ less commercial.

Q. What can we expect from your No Fight :: No Glory set @ Sector-9?
A. It will be a surprise. ;) But you can believe me that it will be completly CRAZZZY

Q. So how’s life for you at the moment?
A. I’m really busy with my own agency (Sector-Management.com) and I also have a lot of new projects plus a lot of gigs around the World. But I m happy because it’s not a boring life!

Q. It’s 3am and you have just finished playing. What’s your drink of choice?
A. At this time I prefer to drink a good cold Coke!

Q. Who is you favourite Super Hero?
A. My Manager ;)

Q. Had an embarrassing moment on stage?
A. I was playing in a club and the sound was switched off for over 15 mins so I just sang with the crowd

Q. Which artists are your favorite people to work with?
iA. I have played with all of the biggest hardstyle names, but I love to play after Isaac and before Deepack.

Q. And Finally, which dj/ Producers do you think are rocking at the moment?
A. My prefered producers at the moment are Frontiner, Headhunterz and Noisecontrollers
