Depends what your aims are mate. And what software your going to be using. If you dabble in Ableton and have the bucks check out the Akai Ableton Controller (APC 40, I think).Quote:

well, i use a lot of the knobs and sliders on my usb keyboard to trigger ableton at present. a little ghetto, but does the trick. but when i dj i like to do a lot of cuts and such, so i want a way to add "traditional" mixing into the mix.

Looks good. Clean, simple. Only problem is is that it is a Vestax- so that means that when ever you finish using it- cover it. Any hint of dust and the vestax faders go ape shit.
Also get some fader oil and once every 2 weeks- lube it. all in all, it looks good.
my external soundcard just up and died on me, so situation a lot more critical than it was.

You should get this controller I'm going to get it as I want to go digital as well I want to take my DJ'ing to the next level this controller looks really good with that you can do with it & it has it's own soundcard
