Been using a BCR2000 for a while, recently added a Novation Launchpad to the setup. However, in India powercuts are a regular annoyance, so I'm looking for something that's USB powered.
Thinking about getting one of these:

Nice looking bit of kit. Id like to see it in action. I recently purchased a Korg NanoKontrol and NanoPad- USB powered and Tiny. Very very hard going bits of kit and ridiculously cheap!
i am on apc40 and pretty satisfied, but it is not usb powered as you need. this livid ohm aint look bad, but not too ergonomic for my likings...

just my personal tastests. i am working on Live, where apc benefits from smarter implementation to an application. you have got bit more sort of organized control on the things + full 8 chanel mixing surface. Ohm has only 4 full-control channels. 8x8 grid of buttons which is pretty nice, but i am missing faders right beneath em. controller looks pretty and is deffinitely worth thinking about, if you're not working in Abelton Live.Quote:

Its uses a software server, which acts as an intermediary between the controller and whatever needs to be controlled. Which is a bit confusing at first, but then quickly becomes amazing because you can have loads of different midi maps saved on top of each other. So one map controls your DAW, another map your FX, another map a softare instruments and you can quickly flick through the maps to control whatever you want.
Plus pretty much every plugin ever comes pre-mapped - so you can just choose what pot or slider controls what function using a nice visual display, instead of having to map CC numbers, of twiddle every knob you want to control every controller.
