some midi/rewire advice needed

hi all,

I'm using an iMac 2.66GHz with logic 8, live suite 8 and reason 4.0 with an apc40 and mpk61

I have been messing about and got logic set as master and live as slave and want to assign the mpk to logic and the apc40 to live but sometimes using one midi unit on one program triggers something on the other!

there is also an option of splitting the keys of the mpk between 2 daws, say logic and reason but as i've limited midi experience i don't know how to go about it right

anybody and advice or can you point me in the direction of some answers?

if you ever get that sorted mate it would be good to hear how you done it
