The Italian powerhouse known as Alex Di Stefano is back on Respekt, this time with two original tracks which comprise the "Shai" EP.
The title track showcases the next step in Alex Di Stefano's sound, using stomping, tough grooves while retaining his trademark riffs and stabs. Sporting a darker approach than he's accustomed us to, the track is all about floor friendly frenzy with twisted FX.
Moving on in the same vein, "Anubi" is an even more menacing growler. The focus here is on the mean bassline and clever-as-ever programming. Keeping the quality levels high, there is surgically crafted madness oozing from this one.
