EZ 001 - Darkmode - Android EP

The first release for the label Elektroda Ziq is here and opening up what is a serious electro flex are 5 tracks from the mind of British producer Darkmode collectively, his known as his Android EP.

At the beginning as most often is the case with things like these is track #1, and that's exactly how we're playing it at Elektroda Ziq with the first of the 4 tracks; The Evil One. A dark downbeat synth flows with squelch edged beats and a melancholic melody giving a proper introduction to our label and the work of Darkmode.

Things continue with track #2; Samoa, which jacks things up with spacey sci-fi kicks and almost alien-esque sped up vocal samples. A big growing wide soundtracked synth rises up and adds great atmospherics to a starless mechanised future landscape.

Third track Exitgy jumps it up that bit further into sharp upbeat electric drum programming. That wide dark synth work is continued with this time an acid dipped lead. This is a track that really captures what we all love about electro music; that syncopated rhythm and honed thunder forward.

Fourth and final track DYN finishes off our debut release and is quite the futuristic roller. This track speaks again of a near dystopian future in perpetual night and darkness. Bleak perhaps, but entirely befitting and sounding great with it's tightly locked groove and cowbell.

Darkmode has produced an EP resplendent with character and the hallmarks of classic dark electro. Essential, if we do say so ourselves.
