Mackie Control Surface

Is there anyone here running a Mackie control surface in conjunction with SX 1 or 2? I'm investigating getting one.. but I’m unsure if I will speed anything up or not. I have a midi/keyboard controller now... but in fact.. at the end of the day with most VST's.. its easier to just turn a knob via the mouse (or draw in the parameters) than try to map a controller to it.

Is the control surface any more intuitive........Anyone have any experience?

When I had my 01v with SX1 it worked like a dream, specially cause I had adat card and my soundcard was running adat.. it was simple great...

01v96 and sx2 don't get along 2 well... This has nothing 2 do with the mackie but I hope that sx2 hasn't rendered all those controllers useless like my mixer...
