cubase sx 1 problem

hi all, i have a problem with cubase. every time i try to import/record or do anything with audio files cubase is prompting the message

Audio System Error : The Parimerter is Incorrect

I have recently had to use norton gohst to wipe my c drive due to a nasty virus and this is the first time i have used cubase again. can any one help. ta very much

Check if u have the right audio settings/ buffer, make sure u have the right asio driver ...

My first guess is re-install cubase.. norton might have removed or messed some cubase files!
