mix a dj set in Cubase? How would that work?(if its possible)
Route the audio from your mixer into the sound card on your comp,
I have a pioneer so i use the monitor booth out to the input of my sound card.
Or if you are using a Mixing Desk route the audio in to inputs on the desk then send the audio from the outputs of your desk into your soundcard.
here is how most Mixed CDs are donne! ( )
CHoose the right track alignement... make perfect beatmatch track by track... record 2 seperate audio tracks... use eq plug ins... :(

I should have been more specific sorry
But I mean, can I, lets say import mp3/wav files of songs I have and mix the tracks together on beat? How can I match up the tempos perfectly?
u can use tracktor for mixing wav/mp3 togeather

Vegas 4 is easyilly the best program to use for mixing on your comp. You can match beats perfectly, automate volumes, crossfade, timestretch, EQ, and fx all within the same program.Quote:

Cool, thanks guys, I'll try to check out that Vegas program
acid 4 by sonic foundry is really good for this type of thing. probably best with mp3s not wavs because of the amount of memory taken up. but really easy to get the job done.
you can do it in about 5 seconds flat with the timewarp function if i remember correctlyQuote:

not a plug in it's a little button u can find in the tool bar at the top of the arrange window! just point at any button u don't know what is... let it stay there for a few sec.s it will probably show u a small help/ info box about that function!
