to get techno in a large space in nyc is one thing...but to have these competeing nights..is unheard of..a very weird setup.

nyc is passing a law aginst smoking in bars / resturants / nightclubs will take affect very soon. "arc" the venue where billy nasty is playing doesn't have that combination of caberet license (dancing permitted) and liquor license :( what the hel lhas happened to this town?
looks like i'll be pilling it on the 22nd.
btw -- casey hogan + dylan drazen playing this friday (03.07.03) for free @ open air (avenue A & st. mark's place) . ought to be good.

the smoking ban goes into effect on march 29. they've had similar legislation in los angeles and san fransisco for some years now and i've seen few if any people flouting the law in those places.
cigatettes are bad for you anyway ;)
