a lars klein interview would be nice
Yep! That would be cool. And an Eric Sneo one would be interesting.Quote:

lets get our thinking caps on hey.... how about interviewing some of the more establised artists around, and some of the up and coming ones of this board? people who have just started to get their name about, got their first releases coming up etc etc.... it wud be good to get both ends of the spectrum
cracking subtle plug there scott....... :lol:Quote:

Why don't you interview yourself scott? That way you could ask all the right questions and really plug it to the maximum.
nah, that would be too much, interviewing yourself? come on son, get a grip! ;)
hes got a point there gray!
You could do it under a pseudonym ;)
Q - Who would you say is the most exciting techno producer around at the moment?
A - I would say Scott Gray, his music is, quite frankly, as groundbreaking as an Israeli bulldozer. Additionally he is so fit that more and more sexy women will get in to techno directly because of him. As a sidenote I hear his cock is over ten inches long and that he turned down a well paid career in porn to concentrate on making techno. Fair play to the guy - that's commitment for you.
(i am joking here just in case someone doesn't get it - i don't mean you Scott)
who told u all that info! christ's sake i knew eddie wud buckle under pressure...............
not being funny, but it made it up.Quote:

I think interviews are a good idea - many of techno's bigger guns are members here and they could surely give beginners and enthusiasts lots of useful information on production, DJing, promotion, running an independent label, getting good distribution etc. Also I think monthly record reviews could be interesting and more informative than five "charts" posts a month... I guess it's hard to describe what a record sounds like to someone who isn't as into techno as the people on this forum, but I guess some of the people here could easily write at least a few lines that would give everyone else an idea of what the record is about.
I guess we could do even more to make this place as informative and pleasant as it can be, but I'm low on ideas right now so I might post something else later...
Yea, I get your point... Well crack on and start sending email to producers. Thats how we got going in the acid techno forum. Theres one with Chris Liberator coming soon (just waiting for him to finish filling out the answers) and I have some more in the pipeline, and I know other board members have as well. Its all about making things a bit more interesting.Quote:

2 Unlimited. I'd love to know what they are up to now...
How about a seperate section in BOA for interviews? There's no way in hell I'd do an interview only for it to get lost down the thread line a week or two later. This interview section/review section business has been talked about for a while. Somebody get on the case in getting it sorted :?:
I'd be more than willing to interview some people, time permitting, if this came about.
TBH, I think Mark's planning an interview forum. Anyway, even if he isn't, its not hard to make a subject sticky in a forum & keep it locked, so its always at the top of the forum, and just for the interviews & nothing else.
Hey .... The interviews took my atention !!! I like to read some info about everything that has Techno ...
True indeed.Quote:

Yeah maybe, but I think anyone that goes to the trouble of conducting or answering an interview, should see it it in a proper designated section of a website.Quote:

Btw. I'm fully behind the interview thing, I just think there's a proper place where these things should be.
Interview with Patrick Skoog ...mmmm that would be rather cool.
Personally, I would like nothing more then an interview about Scott Gray`s amazing funky loops. The guy is a breathing genius. Some information about his ``not so shy`mindblowing promotional techniques  would also be helpful. How is the Big Techno label signing thing going Mr.Gray  ?
No seriously, who are the big guns here besides Gray? `I like the suggestion about how the artist can help out with running indie labels and how to get started in producing and pushing Techno music and other helpful suggestions(Like what not to do,ehmmm Gray). Anyhow I wouldn`t mind interviews with French Techno lot like Vitalic, Denza, The Hacker and others.
PS The sugestion about interviews being kept in an interviews section is a good one and makes lot of sense.

yeah id like to see an interview with amok containing certain questions regarding his rise from putting out MP3 tracks to were he actually is at the moment....think that would be cool.
everyone seems to want to know about my amazing funky loops and my promotional techniques.... well its something that those who deserve it will learn in time..... be patient friend....

He? You call that big ;) !
bigger than urs! ;)
interview with speedy J would be cool
Well without sounding too pessimistic, it seems many people are not interested, they don't wanna find out about the people behind all of this. That isn't a big problem really I guess, personally I'd like people (not just on BOA btw.) to take a deeper look or interest into the music and where it came from sometimes.Quote:
