Opitmum techno speed? OTS.
lets sort this question out once and for all.
its gotta be 135
a happy(?) medium between harder slovak stuff and brummy stuff
138 my ass
Different strokes for different folks.
Depends on the skill of the producer.
i say 140
totally depends on the style of track, producer, emotions (if any) being conveyed in the music etc
average is around 138 - 140, i prefer it a little slower when making tracks to work a little more groove in there, can always be sped up when played out if desired
hard for me to say, i can listen to it at all speeds, from 130 upto 150, depends on the style and the tracks really.
not much choice in the poll options though :briggin:
150
Anywhere between 145 and 155.
top poll
i'm happy to agree, 138's about right for me....
135-138
70
i like to play my 138's at 45 rpm
yeah everyone is differant, but for me 140 is best.
anything that's hard and mental, i like slower, like around 130-134.
for some reason I like more clubby techno really sped up like 140-145.
techouse or mnml, I hover around 126-130.
Therefore..... ots=135 bpm......... imo at least
min. 180
well ya know, i'm always trying to be above average, in everything..
+ i like it hard and fast, hell yeah
average is working out at 137.807692307692307692307 OTS so far.
i made got this figure using microsoft calculator with a phaser plugin on the output.
hmm i dont know what velocity you speak of, i think tempo around this area is good:

150? you kids and your drugs! :)
132-134 works good for any kind of techno. Glenn Wilson records still sound just as hard at 132. If you're talking swedish techno, italian, or that kind of clubby stuff...I like 136-138. Melodies clash too much when it gets faster than that.
tempo is for geeks, its all about the boom index.
I work around 140-145...
peace

140 - 145
135-140
136 to 137 has been working for me of late.
140
Production tempo: 135 - 140
Djing or playing live tempo: 140 - 147
Its got to be 133.38 exactly.
134
I presume this is tracks we're talking about, not at what speed people play their records...
130-140bpm
anything above is dumb. anything below is still cool...
;)
128. like richie said.
Aha...! Owdoo there matey...
I started out producing at 140 as I felt, imo, that this was a balancing tempo for the dancefloor - keeping everyone jiggin away but not wearing them out on those long hauls that can happen of a weekend....:briggin:
Now I am swaying much more towards 135 as this allows me much more room to put the groove n wiggle in to play... am finding much more space to fill each sound out to it's full potential, without being minimal...
Aha again...
This is interesting as a friend produces at 147 to play live at the acid techno parties down here n this seems to be the perfect not too slow/ not too fast tempo, for his style, which gets the crowd really going of four o'clock in the morning...:briggin:
Different measures for different times as well as for different folks eh... :)
138
137.655 (perfect for running in D)
145.8393 for running in C
125 for E.
140 is a nice speed
140
oh bloody hell
