I dont really tbh, there isnt much of the dark and deep stuff around anymore.
Everything is well happy.
Theres a bit to much hands in the air stuff now. A bit of euphoric stuff is good but we could do with some more green martian style melodies. The stuff mark eg and m-zone used to play was'nt all euphoric either. Alot of it woz dark pumping stuff.
All the dark stuff that used to go along with hard trance has drifted off to hardstyle i think

and no i am not saying that u are one either mate
I dont know if shits gone too euphoric. But we definitely need more Dark Deep ASYS style stuff. (although even their new track isnt too dark). Really just need more hard stuff that isnt the 'typical' Hardstyle sound.
Definatley far too much 3/4 8 bar melodies around (if anyone knows what i mean lol), also i think (if its possible) that stuff right now is maybe OVER produced to such an extent that it becomes almost too polished and clean sounding, not pickign out any tracks in particular for these comments, its just my gut reaction to the sound as a whole right now, im finding myself drawn back to the older stuff more and more right now...
I just assumed that anything dark was classed as hardstyle these days.
P.S. Corbz you crack me up mate!
I defo agree here... I think the production from some people is SO tight that anything they make becomes "nice" rather than 'avin it. I guess its TOO complete, not making you want MORE from it.
the words trance basically mean melody and euphoria to be in a trance is like to be in a nice place so trance needs euphoria and hard trance is hard kick ,hard bassline and euphoria to go with it thats why hardstyle is what it is cos its not so much melody but more hard imo anyway if u gonna take melody away from hard trance then dont call it hard trance anymore  cos it wont be trance anyway, im abit pissed up but still i believe wot im saying and stick by it
How!? :lol:Quote:

Just because it has trance in it, doesnt mean it has to have a full on euphoric vibe mate.Quote:

it is my opinion mate at the end of the day
I dont agree with that tbh. You say hardstyle is hardstyle because its too hard to label hard trance? and because it doesnt have a melody?Quote:

Klasic and sanders mix of TG - wildstyle generation, is a perfect example, harder than a lot of hardstyle, with a melody.
so what makes hard trance and hardstyle different then?
...thats an easy question to answer. Hardstyle's gay.
(joke! ;) )

sorry if that post came accross a bit agro ;)
techno puts me in more of a trance than trance...
I have to disagree there lad i know what your saying that there are only a few great producers like a*s*y*s and hennes and cold, uberdruck but what makes it good is that you dont get bored of these because your always waiting till they bring their next tune out knowing that its gonna be a stomper!!
everyone has got there own views at the end of the day so leave it at that
that wasnt an opinion tho, that was a statment?Quote:

in a word - YES.
this is the reason i got into Hardstyle, cos Hard Trance just wasnt 'Hard' enough for me anymore. Too much cheesy German Stuff on the go, it sounds too commercial for me. :nono: Even Overdose and Pulse and Tracid Traxxx dont do it for me anymore and they were my 3 fave labels not too long ago.
Hmm... I see what your saying Ben. For me I love a good german hard trance tune, but I rarely find them about today. The recent Tunnel Trance release by Dynamic D's I thought was class... and I try to find the hardstyle that has melody with it to fill the gap between hard trance and hard style.
