Unify
http://rekkerd.org/img/articles/marcus_clef_unify.jpg
Marcus Clef has released Unify, a hardknee compressor made with Synthedit.
Unify includes a 6 bands post-compression coloration tool which acts like an EQ but on fixed frequencies with limited gain range. The Vu-meter is still under construction but is fully functional. It will probably be updated soon.

Little critters
http://rekkerd.org/img/articles/rekk...e_critters.jpg
Little critters is a simple VSTi created with SynthEdit that has eight different sounds of insects, which can be mixed and manipulated.
Features
* pitch, pan and volume controls per insect
* mute buttons for easy sound selection
* 4 filters (selection of LP/HP/BP/BR for each filter)
* simple adsr envelope
* dry/wet controls
This VSTi is more of a toy than anything else, but you might enjoy playing with it. Little critters was only tested on FLStudio, so if you encounter any bugs or strange behavior let me know and I’ll see if I can fix it.
Update: v0.22 available. I see little reason for Little critters to be polyphonic and since it saves a lot of CPU it is now monophonic.

JB Barricade is a simple yet effective brick wall limiter. The gain ride curve is very smooth and its time derivative is continuous, to ensure minimum distortion and aliasing artefacts. The drive knob adjusts the signal level before entering the limiter.
A variable saturation knob provides continuous morphing between the behavior of a classical limiter (zero softclipping) and a classical (soft)clipper (100% softclipping).

U-NO-60
http://kunz.corrupt.ch/images/jnuo-60-crop.jpg
The U-NO-60 vst plugin is a polyphonic virtual analogue synth with a unique filter sound. An original JUNO 60 is used as reference for the oscillators and filters.
Like the original, the plugin is capable of self-resonance and thus could be used to some degree as a tone generator.
The filter section also features controls for envelope amount and polarity, LFO modulation and keyboard tracking. In addition, a non-resonant highpass filter is provided to thin out lower frequencies.
The U-NO-60, notwithstanding, few parameters, can make a wide range of different and
exciting sounds.
* Polyphonic (6 voices)
* Bandlimited oscillators
* One syncable LFO with five different waveforms
* 24 dB lowpass filter with self oscillation, non-resonant high-pass filter
* Fast ADSR envelopes
* Smooth cutoff changes (also with midi controllers)
* Velocity sensitive filter envelope
* Midi learn for all potis
* Supports all sample rates
* 20 Presets

There's a new beta version of the nice 'Omniverb' by Jeroen Breebart i just found...
"For those who would like to do some testing...
The link below points to a beta version of omniverb 2.0.1:
I think the sound quality has improved quite a lot;
and there are two new switches: one for more complex reverb
and one to have a non-deterministic (dynamic) reverb (more randomness).
Both do have some impact on the CPU usage though, but
without these options switched on it's still as low as version 1 (but with better quality...)"
http://www.home.versatel.nl/breebaar...verb2_beta.zip
This Juno emu is supposedly becoming better and better; so is Omniverb:
http://home.versatel.nl/breebaar/dow...b/omniverb.jpg
"JB Omniverb has been updated to version 2.0.1. Changes include an improved gate algorithm, completely re-designed early reflections / late reverb algorithms, and new late reverb modulation control parameters. "

Scanned Synth Mini is now available for download from the link below. It features the same synthesis engine as the one used by Scanned Synth Pro (in other words they sound the same when using the same presets) but only allows new sounds to be programmed through randomisation. The user can set the amounts by which each group of parameters will be randomised but does not have direct access to the parameters themselves.
Scanned Synth Mini can load and save presets through the host application that are compatible with Scanned Synth Pro and vice versa. This means that Scanned Synth Mini can actually produce the full range of sounds that Scanned Synth Pro is capable of. Only the amount of control the user has over the sound is limited when compared to Scanned Synth Pro.
Scanned Synth Mini is completely free without any limitations. We plan to produce a Mac version of Scanned Synth Mini in the future.
If you find that you need the additional features that Scanned Synth Pro has to offer, just install it and Mini will be replaced by Pro in all your tracks without you having to do anything.
Scanned Synth Mini does not have its own documentation. The manual that comes with it is the one for Scanned Synth Pro.

Sick and tired of huge GUIs taking up all your screen space? Want an EQ that easily fits in your pocket but sounds just like the big guys? Then it's time to meet SmallEQ!
No, we haven't accidentally cut off 90 percent of the image, this is it: the worlds smallest EQ. The worlds smallest 10-band EQ, to be precise. Eight fully parametric bands together with one low- and one highshelf filter give you the full engine of the IIEQ on exactly 9135 square pixels.

since it is common these days to release an EQ, here's my contribution to it: 'Noname EQ'.
A 7-band tracking EQ, designed for low CPU usage with the best possible sound quality.
It started as test engine for new EQ technologies. Then abused for the Int vs. Float EQ challenges. Now, since there is no more need for the plugin and since I have to focus on my studies for a while, I thought about releasing it.

Fragmental
http://www.niallmoody.com/ndcplugs/i...fragmental.png
A complex multi-fx plugin incorporating a delay, granulator, three phase vocoder effects, a reversinator, and three types of modulation source. Incorporates a very flexible routing scheme capable of serial and parallel effects routings, and a new kind of modulation routing based on a kind of pie chart representation. This plugin was developed in conjunction with shamann from KVR. (C++)
The code for the phase vocoder effects comes from the PVOC plugins (Trans, Exag, Accum), at: http://people.bath.ac.uk/masrwd/pvplugs.html. It should be noted that the presence of the phase vocoder effects mean the plugin has a constant delay of 7680 samples, although PDC-capable hosts will compensate for this.
Note: Some of the presets are quite loud, so you may want to turn your speakers down when you're exploring them.

RUBBERFILTER is a stereo filter which also allows you to process each channel seperately. A magnitude display bar at the bottom provides a preview of what is filtered out.
The plugin offers filters of up to 384dB/Oct and you can change the steepness in 6dB steps starting from 6dB/Oct. Here's a plot of 4 different filter orders (2nd, 4th, 8th and 64th order = 384dB/Oct):

Float Crush
http://rekkerd.org/img/articles/cams...loat_crush.png
CamSR and ArkeCode have released Float Crush, a new type of bitcrusher exploiting the nature of the floating point unit. It offers something the regular bitcrusher can’t; a dual flavor distortion.
What does Float Crush do?
A floating point unit has three important segments to it, the sign, the exponent, and the mantissa. A normal 32-bit float uses 23 bits for it’s mantissa values and 7 bits for it’s exponent.
What Float Crush does is applies quantization to the exponent and mantissa range of bits, the same quantization a normal bitcrusher would. But the difference is this creates a multi-staged effect, where quantizing the mantissa range brings a soft, airy texture, and the exponent range which can completely ‘rearrange’ the sound.
There’s only a few presets but try it out for yourself. When adjusting the exponent effect, you might notice the signal gets softer, if that happens use the Pre-Gain control to compensate.

AirTraffic Control is a Proximity Mixer, a new kind of audio mixer. Think of the outputs as being like ears: the nearer the inputs come, the easier it is to hear them.

http://www.jeversi.com/magic_of_spatial_mixing.htm
From KVR forum:
http://home3.inet.tele.dk/huas/sound/Stereoizer.gif
This stereoizer is different than most others. I modelled it after an old hardware-synth that I have. Its nothing fancy but its efficient. It works by adding a phase-inverted, slightly delayed, discrete chorus to the dry signal. Unlike a typical chorus effect, which tends to turn a solo-instrument into an ensemble sound, this stereoizer is more transparant. Its also not a typical "delay" effect, or a "surrounder" which isn't really mono-compatible.
Its mono-compatible: If you monoize the sound again (left channel + right channel) the added effect will dissapear completely, leaving only the original sound. This has the benefit that you can use it on basses, even kick-drums, as well as any other sound. People who listen to your music in mono will not hear the stereoizer at all ! Stereoized bass-sounds won't sound sloppy on sound-systems where there are only one loudspeaker (sub-woofer) for the bass.
Listen to it here. First you hear the unprocessed sound, then the stereoizer:

dirtbox 2
http://www.delamancha.co.uk/images/plugins/dirtbox.gif
dirtbox is a parallel compressor / distortion effect for adding filthy fatness to your sounds, especially drums. It features;
- added bouncy fatness by mixing the dry uncompressed signal and the wet compressed signal
- 4 flavours of gritty crunchy dirrrtyness, made to an old family recipe
compressor controls
Threshold & Gain are in dB, attack & release are in ms, ratio is x:1
oomph adds the dry signal onto the wet, to get that NY parallel compression sounds
you can turn the compressor on/off with the button to the left of the compressor window
dirt controls
you can turn each dirtifier on/off with the button to the left of the knob
- crush reduces bit rate and sample rate as you increase the knob setting
- distortion and drive are self limiting, as you increase the setting, the volume is roughly maintained
- ring modulation can be added using any of the 4 waveforms, sine, saw, triangle or square
the mix control is for the dirt section only, and controls the wet/dry level of those effects selected
midi learn
all knobs and buttons have midi CC support and midi learn
- press the 'learn' button
- clock symbol will show
- tweak a GUI control
- tweak your midi controller knob/slider/button/whatever
- clock symbol will go out
- controller will now move the GUI control
- press 'reset' button to remove all learned controls

black box slight disorder
http://www.delamancha.co.uk/images/p.../black_box.gif
the black box slight disorder was found by pawn shop owner, Jesus "Buffa" Martinez, in the wreckage of a secret experimental gyrocopter that crashed landed in Times Square, New York on Friday 8th January, 1969. Buffa sold it on to an anonymous collector, thought to be a wealthy rock star in a band-du-jour and it has since been stolen, smuggled in and out of all 17 continents, used as a door stop, an assault weapon, integrated into the Soyuz Space Station, survived 2 assasination attempts and came 3rd in last years Big Brother. Although several theories have been put forward, no-one knows exactly how it works. Teams of scientists, engineers, conspiracy theorists and reiki masters have all failed to gain entry to this enigmatic box of tricks. What is known is that it will take an audio input and spit out a modified signal, seemingly using a system of things and other stuff that make you go mmmmmmm.
The rythmic, choppy, buffered and tempo sync output is especially pleasing on drums, but works for most instruments and vocals too. It has no controls, only a red LED display that runs from 000 to 099, each number would appear to change the algorythymic undertones that affect the things and stuff inside differently. Some of these so-called 'programs' appear to loop the effect, others don't. Sometimes the things are faster and the stuff slower, othertimes it's the opposite.
The original black box is now retired from public life, but de la Mancha was lucky enough to get access for a few short days and using revolutionary new tele-sampling techniques was able to bring you this perfect software emulation of the legendary black box.
Controls
LED - click and drag up and down to change program number. You can also use Midi CC #3 to automate the LED
