which cubase are u runnin? I think they took it out of sx 2.0.. i had to save the dll files on the old cubase sx before I upgraded.
cool, ill check it out.. cheers for the tip off ;)
the autofilter that comes with ableton life is a great filter that can be controlled really easily. is is possible to use this plug-in in Cubase coz i well like it???
Nope U'd have 2 sync via Rewire with cubase, and then play the sounds u want filtered thru ableton!
Mysteron as far as I know Is wicked, it's a perfect "wonky tech" VST i, i resembles the Theremin (slightly). Donne some stuff with it in the past :)

Predatohm rocks.
Any other good distortion plugins people use?
Whoops! Should have read the title of this thread properly!!
Alright, thanks for all your input. I checked out that Ohmboyz Quad Filter thing and it sounds pretty decent...still not great but fun to work with. I tried the antares and thought it was kinda flat. I also felt the TC plug-in was decent but it keeps crashing my computer really bad.
I wasn't a big fan of it. I used it on a few older tracks and it sounds *alright *except for the weird stereo-expansion effect it does for no good reason at all. It's a good concept but it just doesn't sound all that great to me.Quote:

Sometimes I automate the PSP mastering eq EQ plugin to do some simple high pass filtering. Cheap and cheerfull
The Antaeres filter does look gay but I have used to as an effect loads of times now, you just have to overcome the dodgy interface. Actually I was quite surprised on some of the sounds I managed to get out of it, never come across a multiband filter before :!:
Bored of D pole now
The MS20 filter is ****ing sick!!!!!!!!
I cant seem to automate the ohmboyz one. Is it just me who has this proplem?
Filtrator is wickid once you manage to un-program it from doing all that modulating. Sounded a bit digital tho.
PSP nitro is similar, all the presets seemed to have LFO's all over the place, once I managed to figure out how to turn them off it turned out to be a little beast.
Reactor has some interesting filters, when you get it on the inserts. Problem is its very cpu hungry and I think it increases the latency on the channel its inserted on!
New to me, gonna check this out now. ThanksQuote:
