Hard techno and the neighbours...

Having to live in a student block with walls as thin as a wine glass, my reputation and bass travelled quite well. I got to meet my upstairs neighbour, who is a nice Asian girl, my next door, who is a mid 20s Dutch lady, by having my music loud, and they would come to my door. I gave them both my mobile no. and tell them to call when they cant hack it, so they dont have to move. always wink on their way out.

And there were sereval complains from 2 floors above and below.... But they are not as fit.

Who says techno cant bring you ladies?

i put polystyrene all over the wall between me & my neighbours and i havent had a complaint since. and sometimes its proper loud :lol:

I lived in a flat in Fulham of years (no not mine a mate's!) and the couple downstairs put standard studio insulation tiles between each floor board worked a treat until we installed a sub-woofer against the fireplace - kinda used to amplify it into their lounge and next doors bedroom. very funny - did move the sub-woofer tho - very quickly = that flat was top - had speakers wired through every room so you could whack a CD on and get on with your thing. now I've got me own gaff - yer realise what else that money has to go on.

Wouldn't mind turning my cellar into a swimming pool. 26ft x 15 ft x 12ft (XYZ) steps from beneath the stairs. how good would that be :)

When I lived in the city, I thought I sound proofed my garage so the old people living next to me wouldn't be knockin on my window, yelling at me to turn my, and I quote; loud, annoying music down.... Well I ended up forgetting their yells at me through the window and continued to play my acid loud as I pleased :rambo:

then the house parties..... oh man, I'm surprised I never had the cops show up!!! :shock:

I`m pretty lucky I can play as loud as I want as long as its not before 9 in the morning and not after about 10.30 -11.00 at night as the neighbours oldest son is in a band so they have practice in the front room full drum kit the lot ... so it`s a kinda trade off ! we dont moan about him and his band and they dont moan at my brother and me :)
