So, who from the forum is going?
-
how did this night go? did mark play before or after the arse? did mark slap a kipper across his face?
and why did mark agree to play at a event which books judge jules in the first place? the promoter sounds like hes only in it for the money, why would you play for a promoter whos in it for the money mark? doesnt this go against your morals? stick to representing the underground mate, dont fall into the commercial scrap heap.

oh dear god i've been here before in loads of other posts  i'll play for anyone once - then i'll make up my own mind.
it was actually for an organisation called koolwaters and i have to say that yes, they do book a few of the more 'commercial' names out there. i was quite dubious about doing it at first but i wanted to try it. i've played for them a good few times now and yes, it's a little bit different to what i'm used to doing. the promoter marc vedo is actually a pretty nice bloke when you get to know him. i think people are too quick to judge people before they know them.
but hey, i get to play to a different crowd and that's all fine in my book. it's all part of my mission which is to play my sound to as many people as possible. represent the underground sound and show people something different... we have have ways that we think are right and wrong.... morally i'm convinced i'm doing things the right way. keep your cards too close to your chest and you might as well disappear up your own arse - just like the radio 1 jocks. it's about showing people your sound and getting people on board.

ok fair play mate, i was just curious to why you played for that promoter, if your trying to educate an audience then thats fine. but i suspect there would of been a lot of judge jules wannabes at that event, who wont be changed, who turn a blind eye to the quality dance music out there, in a deswperate search of fame, ego, and money generally.
i think that sharing hard trance with as big as audience as possible is the reason for its commercialism, i am not impliying that all hard trance is commercial but i think it is best kept inside the underground, thats whats special about the underground theres a group of people with something special, that no bodys knows of or cares about.
