I agree there is a lot of great hardtrance around atm
Jon The Baptist - Sunrise
Future Vision - Your Love
Karlzee - Double Penetrator
Invader + Vandall - Eye Of The Storm
among others Ultraform, Mauguzun, and Xpander.
Ive gotta admit though there isnt a lot of the darker stuff coming out which were trying to do, for example with Severe Trauma.
I couldnt disagree more with most really, hard trance hasnt flicked my bean for a while, the new kamui one traffic was pretty cool and bejamin R on druck i liked (nice techy tinged trance for me)...
Straight on Black rarely releases something i dont like, Tocs 1 was a monster....
but i dont really know how the scene can be thriving or healthy when good tracks are coming from a handful of producers with half of them being unsigned?
Its funkin unreal that Fabian hasnt been signed yet, he is generally putting out more forward thinkin and banging hard trance than half the scene put together imo. Xpanders rmx of Louks tune was pretty damn phat aswell...
all in all its a well poor effort imo.
I agree with what your saying about people being unsigned, but my point was that ive not had nothing to be excited about with hardtrance for a while and now there is something for me to get excited about, only a matter of time befor peopel are signed and hard trance is back on the top imo.Quote:

what is a scene? it's what YOU have surrounded yourself with..
each person has a different outlook and analyses (based on their taste) how they think the scene is progressing..
it is a shame how people like fabian struggle to get a release..
but i still think that he gets enough coverage the way he distributes his tracks.. he gets praised by a charade of popular and well known dj's.. isn't that technically the same as getting a release?
look at it like this, a vinyl release only sells between 1000 to 5000? records
you send your tune to 100 people over msn and put it up for download, the same amount of people will get this tune. maybe not the vinyl buying dj who doesnt know about the net scene yet, but still a lot of people in a different scene.. ;)
it's all about coverage, how you go about it..
cos i know jon it's easy to use him as an example..
he had the same degree of talent for the same amount of time as fabian has now and it took a while to get a release.. it's taken him 7 or 8 years to get where he has, but he's stuck with it through thick and thin, and slowly but surely it is paying off..
but compare jon to mark.. or scot project or paul van dyke!!
it takes YEARS to get where you want, and with technology moving so quickly, it takes new and different ways to get to the forefront of the scene..
at the end of the day, as much as we love vinyl, it will die.. but hopefully not!!
the moral of this story is stick with what you love doing, try and push your own boundaries and don't worry too much about what the scene is doing and push yourself!
Each to there own i guess, for me personally tho.... its class to see Ultraform, Maugauzan (spelling), Xpander and vandall tunes soundin phat from the nu breed.... jon and log (whose toons are wicked, but never hear enough). When i compare it to the other styles i dig mainly.. ie trance and tekno the amount of productions coming out that i like is small in comparison. I still love hard trance, just dont find anywhere near enough these days. I will still buy tracks that excite me but im also finding that ur average tech trance track is now just as hard (Montana - Platinum being an example). Where has hard trance really gone in the last couple of years?
Its just how i feel at the minute. :-s
The new Max Savietto release on Mazeman, not the A but the B Side.... it really the kinda stuff im lookin for more or less.
That for me, is an awesome track.
But there you go, that's ur taste man...
Exactly corbinator. ;-)Quote:

for me hard trance is rocking, so is the techy stuff, a recent conversation with dj abyss heralded a few truths which made me realise that maybe some people should be a bit more open minded with where they look and waht tunes they listen to rather than just liking the same few producers and not paying much attention
Vandall is truly taking things forward, also I rate wragg + log ones tune and mic-e's remix of jones + stepphenson first rebirth
that new stealth is fukin lush too

But I think they're is a lot of good hardtrance out there but do find a lot of hardtrance lately is really uplifting.
I do like the darker styles but cant say I dont dislike some of the uplifting stuff far from it but it seems like thats all that coming out at the moment.
At the end of the day....i reckon ill be hardtance till i die  weather it be dark or uplifting what ever, its got sumint about it that gives it an edge for me AND I ****ING LOVES IT
outsiders comment - i ****ing love hard trance!!!
say no more
I SECOND THAT FROM ANOTHER OUTSIDER !!!!!!!!!!
I'm gonna be forced big up my bredrin/mate Vandall and chip in that he's been making some classy tuneage just lately (been working really hard bless him)
The new track is out now 'Hypnotisin' with Original Mix and a proper banging remix from Jon The Baptist & McBunn which I'd recommend checking out... also TWZ001 has just been restocked and both are available at www.germantrance.com. Future releases will be revealed soon enough but they include some top tunes and remixes :eyes:
Enough pimping the whores.
Can't really be arsed to mention who I rate cos most of them's already been mentioned now and rightly so, but one thing to say, Slideout's kick drums make me shit my pants yo
:clap:Quote:
