Why?
it dosent matter where u play as long as the people you play to wanna have a good time and thats the bottom line "the people "i hate all this war between commercial and underground its like its one or the other and thats rubbish
i think it would do marks career alot of good to go to bigger clubs and finally get the respect he deserves
 :bash: Arrrrrh your missing the point, this isn't a "Oh my god Mark Eg's playing at Slinky" post I want to hear from people who perhaps never heard of him before Slinky and thought hey this guys playing some pretty shit hot music, not just Slinky either, any big club/event.
And was that "why" directed at me or Corbzy?
Mark is now one of the most popular Djs in the Dance sceene now, seeing him has made many people lose faith in the commercial djs.
I reckon if you were to have him or the 'tidy boys' djing on the same night in the same town all the so called 'new age hard housers' who had seen him play would go to see him.
or would you rather there were no new comers into the undergroud sceene, just the current punters forevermore?????

Read the fukin post!
I dont see a problem with mark djing at slinky, i think its a good step to bring the people that like that side of the music scene into the right place. It opens windows to people that they thought were never there. I mean i was the same. I used to only go dance academy when the tidy boys were there when all i knew about was hard house. And one night we all went to a night when mzone was playing, that changed me forever!
So i think this is a very good idea.
The only thing i dont like is the people that go out an dont really care about the music, there not bothered wether its lee haslam or chris lib. And even though these people may be really cool people, and i dont have anything against them, they can spoil the underground feel that i love.
Can someone close this post its gone right off topic!
Chill out stu. :wicked:
sorry mate :) its just really annoying.
Corbz laughs at hard house people and Slinky ppl when they show an interest
==========================================
I went to this On Friday night, thought the night was okay, needed more than my square foot too dance in. I havn't been to the OH for about three years on a slinky night, and would have to say the crowd are definately a little better educated on techno, and hard trance than in 2001, and the crowd went for it right through mark's set...
but yes a lot of the ppl in that club are still new to dropping beans, new to any scene, new to dancing in a club and yes they like there beer, but we all started somewhere... I never see any shit with the slinky crowd's either..
did anyone go? did anyone see that dwarf?
sounds to me like there were some fresh faces... can only be a good thing i reckon
This forum tends to do that alot.Quote:
