Nasri flashing his arse at United:-
Samir Nasri refuses to rule out a switch to Manchester United | Football | guardian.co.uk
Samir Nasri has risked fracturing his relationship with Arsène Wenger by casting doubt over his readiness to sign a new contract at Arsenal this summer, with the France international suggesting he is also keen to discover whether Manchester United's interest in him is "concrete".
Wenger conceded last week that negotiations between the club and the player, a £15.8m signing from Marseille in the summer of 2008, are currently at an impasse over the financial terms on offer. Nasri is entering the final year of his contract at the Emirates Stadium and with three years of Premier League experience behind him, would be an attractive addition to United's option. Speculation that the champions would lodge a bid has been fanned by Patrice Evra urging the attacking midfielder to move to Old Trafford.
That prompted Wenger to say last week: "One thing's for sure, we're not selling him to Manchester United." Yet Nasri himself, when interviewed on TF1's Telefoot, appeared more open to the prospect. "Let's find out if their interest is true first, and then we'll talk about it," he said.
"I don't know if I will sign a new contract. Anyway, the discussions are on-going. For the moment, I don't want to think about this. We will speak about it after the match with Poland [on Tuesday]. Do I want to go to United? We should see if their interest is real and if it is concrete first."
Arsenal, who have Gaël Clichy in a similar position, had hoped to secure Nasri on a new five-year deal worth around £90,000 a week. Both players' contracts expire in the summer of 2012 and Wenger is unwilling to allow them to leave for nothing under the Bosman ruling, as Mathieu Flamini did for Milan three years ago.
Nasri played in France's 1-1 draw in Belarus on Friday and is expected to feature in Tuesday's friendly in Poland; talks will resume upon his return. Yet if no agreement is reached, the 23-year-old is likely to be available for around £10m, a figure well within his suitors' reach.
He seems keen on a move from what hes saying, but is the right player for utd?
I doubt it
lets see ''force'' what did you the weekend?
i swam in baking heat weather, went to couple of islands on a boat, and saw dolphins do backflips with not to mention going to world of beer, trying different beers around the world and coming back listening to some tunes with friends in a tropical climate.
hard compared to your life eh?
:laugh2:
enjoy the 11 degrees matey.
tbh, I reckon he's just using the United connection to negotiate a better contract.
As far as I know, United actually haven't expressed any interest.
As far as being the right player, I think he's quality and is more than capable of playing central midfield.
I rate him more highly than Modric and, with his contract running out soon, would cost United way less money.
apparently shinji kagawa has said that he would like a move to united, i haven't seen him play but have heard good things, could be a good buy
Scott Parker and Lassana Diarra on their way to Totenham
Malouda might sign for scousers for £8mil
Barcelona are preparing a cheeky £28million plus Thiago Alcantara bid for Arsenal captain Cesc Fabregas, £10million less than they offered last year.
Martin Jol should become new Fulham manager on 2-years deal.
not sure about him. anderson could play the same position as diarra, tho.
i would prefer someone else,more creative/attacking midfielder... but yeah, i got you point, as united need 2 midfielders for sure,. 1 defensive, 1 attacking...
i would be for 2 attacking, 1 of them creative...
United have lost Scholes and VDS, so they need to replace them, I hear Brown may be going, but they wouldn't really need to replace him. They have the numbers, so they'd have to offload someone to bring someone in, they're not5 offloading a striker and I can't see them offloading a winger, looks like it'll be a midfielder and a keeper, plus maybe a few young prospects.
So maybe De Gea and Young, or possibly Sneijder, if you're lucky.
I heard it was a £50m swap deal involving Thiago and Fabregas, and Thiago's rated at £7m, so him plus £43m, if it's true... He's very highly rated, so if we made it him plus Mascherano and Ibrahimovic then it'd be a pretty good deal perhaps... Though it would be 3 Barca rejects for 1 player they actually want, but hey.
Ibrahimovic is a vastly overrated player and would be an awful signing for Arsenal.
Furthermore when is Arsenal going to act like top teams and stop sending their top players to other clubs?
It seems like we have been in the rebuilding stage since Pires/Bergkamp/Henry era.
If the current owners can't leave an open cheque-book then maybe it is time to sell the team.
Btw Park for United sucks, and Carrick is only good for the English season but doesn't have what it takes to succeed in the European stage.
Liverpool and Sunderland agree Jordan Henderson deal for £20m
doubtful
Johny Evans (ManUtd -> Bolton)
Dimitar Berbatov (ManUtd -> Newcastle)
Danny Welbeck (ManUtd (sunnderland) -> Everton) on loan
Doni (Roma -> Liverpool)
Marek Hamsik (Napoli -> ManCity)
Peter Crouch (Tottenham -> Sunderland)
Brad Friedel (AstonVilla -> Tottenham)
Gary Cahill (Bolton -> Arsenal, ManCity)
yes, i agree. diarra, sneijder, a.young + de gea would be great. berbatov should go and we might get one more striker...
appar tof this, there is one more rumour: Manchester United, Chelsea and Barcelona are scrapping it out to sign Udinese's much-vaunted forward Alexis Sanchez, 22, for about £30mil.
looks as though united are going to sign phil jones from blackburn
Sunderland have bid for Wes Brown, Darron Gibson and John O'Shea....
Yesssss!!!
just read this
Sunderland will spend the money from the transfer of Jordan Henderson to Liverpool on Birmingham duo Roger Johnson and Craig Gardner.
:/
The Blues have stolen a march on Manchester United in the battle to bring Inter Milan midfielder Wesley Sneijder to the Premier League. Stamford Bridge officials are set to hold talks with Inter over a £30m deal, with Sneijder and his wife more keen on a move to London than Manchester.
tbh, if sir alex signs nasri, a. young and diarra, i dont care about sneijder.
Today's rumours......
Sneijder to United is still on.
Ashley Young to United is imminent.
Nasri to United is gaining momentum. And City are apparently sniffing round too.
Drogba has handed in a transfer request at Chelsea. Spurs look a likely destination.
Can't see Nasri going United but, if it did happen, it'd be a good move for him and United.....
Pretty sure Young to United is a nailed on cert....
Sneijder is obviously playing United and Chelsea (and prob. City too) off each other to get the best deal. I imagine he already knows which club he wants to play for, but is using the interest from the other(s) to get the best deal he can.
If Chelsea are willing to let Drogba go to another English club, surely Arsenal should be in for him.
Would be perfect for them, not just because he's a fantastic footballer, but because of his winning mentality.
oh, and anyone seeing the rumours about Sergio Aguero signing for Liverpool on twitter yesterday.
This was a wind up started by Man Utd fans..... Sorry to disappoint anyone.
i'd be fine for us to sign young as he's an orthodox winger and united play with width
but we deffo to strengthen the centre
word is united are gonna out bid barca for alexis sanchez :wank:
probably bull shit though :icon_cry:
Drogba is just the sort of player Arsenal need, though he can't have too many good years ahead of him, though I think he'd also be good for United if they want the CL, I think he's the sort of striker who'd give them problems and could bully their back 4 without much support. With him and Sneijder United would stand a better chance of hurting Barca... Though I'd rather see them both at Arsenal of course, or at least a player like Drogba. We haven't really got anyone to fill in for Fabregas at the moment, nevermind if he left.
I wouldn't be too bothered if Nasri left after his comments, and running your contract down never looks good, but I'd rather he didn't go to United, although it'd be interesting to see how he'd get on and I want the Prem to keep its best players and sign more top players besides. Hopefully Sneijder will come, maybe to Chelsea.
Fergie has said they'll sign a couple of players, maybe three by the way (before Jones), so him, plus replacements for VDS and Scholes by the looks of it, maybe another young player if someone comes up. I think Giggs can replace Scholes in the short term, so replacing Giggs on the left with Young is what you'd expect from Fergie.
How I wish the U 21's were on Freeview...
heads are sayin that united are now close to signing nasri and young
this is all good but ffs where's the combative midfielders? :rutear:
Blackburn Rovers defender Phil Jones may have failed his Manchester United medical putting his proposed £16million move to Old Trafford in doubt.
Manchester City have emerged as the favorites to sign Bolton defender Gary Cahill, who has been linked with Arsenal.
Spurs will demand Asamoah Gyan as part of any deal when Sunderland bid for Peter Crouch, who is their leading attacking target this summer.
Ashley Young is poised to complete his transfer to Manchester United before the weekend, when he gets married.
Sneijder is happy to stay at inter
Keane been linked with a move to Fulham
Barca are said to only have a budget of 41 million euros and the likes of bojan and jeffran are expected to be on the market
Any word of a possible replacment for VDS or is De Gea still the main target? but said that he wont hold talks with either utd or athletico till the under 21s are over
Faddy to Celtic
i heard sneijder has said that he's staying at inter but many players have said similiar things, only to move a few weeks later, so you never know
not sure what's going on with de gea, thought it was a done deal
Manchester United are reportedly ready to offer winger Nani in part exchange for Inter Milan playmaker Wesley Sneijder.
as long as we get young i'm happy for nani to go, he's too much of a pussy
plus if we were to get nasri then that would be more than enough cover for the flanks
swapping nani for young would be a step backwards. nani is class.
There'd been talk that Arsenal were going to sign Samba AND Cahill, and Gervinho AND Hazard, which would have been a good start, I wish teams would hurry up and sign people! I'm expecting this to be a pivotal transfer window for all the top teams, they had a short window where they could sign people without it affecting the Uefa fair play rules coming in, I think that window might be over now though, I'm not sure.
Sneijder seemed to just say he was happy at Inter, not that he's definitely not coming, he ought to come to the Prem. Personally, I think swapping Nasri for Nani wouldn't be so bad! I don't think it'll happen though. There's a few decent players either out of contract or with just a year left, it's a shame 2 of them are Arsenal players, as usual, but still. We need to sell them when they're down to 2 years if they won't re-sign.
Bellamy's meant to be only £4m, bargain, Robbie Keane wouldn't cost much either, both proven Prem strikers.
Manchester United have refused to allow Blackburn Rovers to drive up the price for centre-half Phil Jones and, despite a late attempt by Liverpool to capitalise on the chaos surrounding the player’s transfer, confirmation of the £16.5m deal is expected imminently.

Sources have claimed that Man United have registered their interest in Real Madrid star Mesut Ozil. The German international is known to be a player that Sir Alex Ferguson admires greatly and Spanish newspaper Marca has reported that the Old Trafford boss has approached the midfielder’s agent about a possible move to the Premier League champions
apparently sagna has said that fabregas wants to leave arsenal and sign for barca
he also said that although nasri is happy at arsenal, it may not be the best idea in terms of his career to stay :rueek:
Manchester United are ready to seal a £27million deal for Udinese’s Chilean star Alexis Sanchez – under the noses of Manchester City and Barcelona.
