oh the list is endless!!!!!!
dont dj or nothing.. used to be dead against tekno.. hated it with a passion.. then after being in melbourne for 2 months was DRAGGED kicking at screaming into a "bunker" to a club known as 'virus' i was dragged kicking and screaming outta it 6 hours later.... my life had changed!!!
I LOVE ACID TEKNO!!
first three records i bought were
midnight club tracks 2
Umek- kilevox ep
Drumcode 02
to this day all three always put a smile on my face
The actual records that got me into techno were
steve rachmad- tia na nong(rotation) and woody McBride- Huge (bush)
it was after a techno event whilst listening to these that i thought this shit is really powerful.
when i heard these records i got into this music, didnt know what it was at the time but i loved it.
cybersonik - technarchy - champion
innercity - big fun
early plus8 records from detroit
i would have to say it was a combination of these 3 records that i orignally bought but never used till later though i loved listening to them.
Woodpecker 3 - Global Ambition
Dynamo City - Urban & Free - SUF
Routemaster 23
but in the end it was Prolekult that brought me back to revisist thoose records.
I fu*king love Lawrie Immersions track on that double pack..."23" :love:Quote:

thankyou energy fm in london all those years ago. dj cali and marie chantelle.
and then i calmed down
Besides all the stuff I never knew and will prolly never know, it was definately Underworlds "Rez" in about 93. Damn dude, I mean losing your shit to that in Detroit back then? It was the "Positive Education" before "Positive Education"!!
I still cream about finding sets from those eras for nostalgia.
Damn.
I was just learning there was something besides rock and jazz back then!

"THE FIRST CHAPTER" on XL and "In Order To Dance 2" on R&S.
i purchased both at sister ray records in soho in 1990. must have cost £45. i distinctly remember my dad remarking on how these new "compact discs" seemed ridiculously expensive but inevitably would go down in price in the future. lol.

Think it was Routemaster, though the first techno track I heard was called 'Medicine Man', can't remember who did it though. Think my mate had it on white label. First techno track I bought was something on planet rhythm. It was 7 years ago now though, so can't remember what it was.
i think it was the CLR and technoid picotto stuff that lead me from hardtrance to techno
MISSILE
#10 was the first 'real' techno record i bought. and i aint looked back

Last few years has got a bit retro/cheesy sounding but I'd still keep an ear out... the Mr.G remix a couple of years back for instance I really liked.Quote:
