I have 3 main issues to share......
1)Too many techno people take themselves too seriously....
Nothing is wrong with putting 110% effort, love and devotion into your music. But at the same time there's no need to be an ass about it either.
Chris Liberator is a great example of someone who has dedicated his life to music, but at the same time manages to keep a proper prespective on it all.
2) Another issue is that of "Musical Hogs". There are far too many cliques of techno people who are too snobby to share the sounds to people from other walks of musical life..... As if this music is just for them. And as if "nobody else would be clever enough to understand".
Once again this is Bull. With my own eyes, I have seen lifelong happy hardcore lovers shake their butts off to Christian Varela PAINS remixes....
Just take yourself as an example... You didn't come out of your mother's womb knowing about how sweet dozens of drum loops can sound together! Everyone started out listening to something before techno.
3)Techno people who waste so much energy on this "superior" self image. You know the ones that try so hard to talk, walk, look and act like they so much more in the know than you.... These people go on and on about how their musical tastes are more refined..... How such & such is not "REAL" techno.... Half the time you really wonder if they are lying to themselves because they are usually missing the whole point.... THEY AREN'T ENJOYING THEMSELVES. Like this techno thing is all being done for image....
