women/girls comprise a small percentage of djs and producers in all forms of electronic music. i don't think it's because of sexism, but maybe because boys/men are more likely to dream of being stars. or maybe not. i don't know, but i'm curious to...i think techno would be well served by all of us having access to more female perspectives. especially in this thread.
we've got such byword here, it's something like: man is a boy thru the all life. And definitely it's true. more or less, no matter. And I mean that's it. Girls don't have such feelings to still playing with something like we have, I mean. We're bringing the toys from childhood thru the all life, these are changing afterwhile, but we still have something to just playing with and that's it.
Maybe some girls can say they also like it so, but guys are specific in it, at least I am. No matter if the toys are PC games, skateboarding, playing table football, or audio editor and granular synthesis.. I hope U kno what I mean....
i think you hit the nail on the head there.
jesus.
that went to the gutter.
what a pathetic turn for a thread to take. rating female djs on whos the most f**kable...
sad sad sad
my arse! everyones different be they male or female, i'm sure there are many women out there already producing and djing. I think confidence is a major factor here no matter your gender, and unless your pretty confident and believe in yourself i think as a female electronic musician it is VERY easy to be put down and told your shit, or made to believe you will never be able to do it, by the male dominated techno world. I think its a great shame that some guys are only interested in what female producers/dj's look like rather than what they sound like. For me its about how much i wanna do it, i love what i do 110% and that is why i will carry on doing what i do - producing and djing.... :roll:Quote:
