Voxengo Boogex
http://www.voxengo.com/files/scrn/bo...-large1024.jpg
Boogex is a free guitar amplifier plug-in with a variety of sound shaping features.
Features:
- Emphasis and Cut Filters. These are used to shape the sound of an amplifier.
- Pre-filter. Used to filter the incoming guitar signal. This is usually useful if the pickups on the guitar are too boomy or too crisp.
- Amplifier. This part is usually represented by a single Drive knob on actual guitar combos. The concept has been refined in Boogex and it is possible to get very different overdrive tones using four knobs. The Tone knob adjusts the character of distortion (or selects 'channel' like in some guitar combos - from clean to overdriven). With low tone value you will get a mild distortion, while with higher tone values distortion will be heavier. Dynamics adjusts the dynamic response of the amplifier - its effect is most evident with low Phase parameter values. The Phase parameter adjusts the overdrive performance - it is possible to fine-tune harmonical structure of the overdrive - for example if you hear too much discord tuning the Phase parameter may help. In some cases Phase also works as a mic displacement control - you can get different degrees of tone with it.
- Speaker cabinet impulse response selects which speaker cabinet model (and mic) to use. Loads WAV or AIFF audio files.
- Processing latency is very modest - 96 samples (2.1 ms at 44.1kHz).
- Several example factory presets are included.

DistBit
http://thefilebucket.com/userfiles/S...tBit%20GUI.png
Coldfire Software's DistBit is a recently-completed VST damage processor. it was inspired by the Scream4 unit from Propellerhead Software's Reason. It consists of a pair of filters and a pair of multi-mode distortion units. Each unit is capable of 8 different kinds of distortion, and you can set up the overall signal routing however you want, making the DistBit a vesatile unit. Version 1.1 adds several nice MIDI features. Comes with 64 presets, freeware. Made with SynthEdit, but don't let that stop you from trying it out.

SubFix
http://nusofting.liqihsynth.com/images/subfix.jpg
NUSofting presets SubFix a bass enhancer VST plugin.
Currently available as free beta for Windows,
it will be released for Windows and as AU/VST for OS X as well.
The beta version expires on 29/08/2005,
it's not fully optimized and doesn't show the VU meters.
What it's for:
SubFix adds harmonic content to the bass range frequencies,
so it can be used as phycoacoustic bass enhancer on a mix
in the mastering process, to have bigger basses or to target
the mix to small multimedia speakers (replacing the inaudible low frequency
with relative harmonics).
But SubFix is designed also to enhance a single bass track, you can
use it as insert in a synth or sampler bass track to add the missing punch.
Please report bugs and suggestions.
Thanks,
Luigi
Controls:
Frequency: the crossover frequency in Hz, below this threshold the sound is processed
Sub gain: the level of the processed input
Treble gain: the level of the unprocessed input
Rich: the amount of harmonic generation
Solo Sub: bass only monitoring
Solo Rich: processed signal only monitoring
HPF Rich: extra boosting of the harmonic generation
Note: green to yellow led change is around zero dB

PhaseBug
http://www.betabugsaudio.com/images/Phase.jpg
Its primary function is to shift the phase of an incoming audio signal. This is a critical function in fixing source signals that have phase errors in relation to one another, which can cause inappropriate cancellation or reinforcement of frequencies in a mix.

SpinBug
http://www.betabugsaudio.com/images/Spin.jpg
combines a traditional "rotary speaker" effect with a set of new possibilities and parameters, all packaged into a simple and beautiful interface. SpinBug uses phase relationships and a low freq. oscillator in order to reproduce an effect produced by Leslie speakers.

posihfopit
http://www.savioursofsoul.de/Christi.../Armyfopit.png
posihfopit is a dynamic EQ effect plug-in.
With posihfopit you can easily equalize your audio material, but furthermore the plug-in will add a new color to the sound. Due to its unique transistor based algorithm, a small amount of soft distortion is applied according to the filter band used. This way your material gets "kind of more creamy".
loopdon's tip: there's a master window you can enable on a channel and then you can see for example stuff done on this eq on say channel 2 and channel 3. very, very nice feature. a general eq overview. enable by rightclicking and selecting..
several nice skins as well.

http://www.chordspace.com/app/Chordspace.zip
Please report bugs to: beta@chordspace.com
...this is what you need to do in FL.
Here's the procedure:
- Load up Chordspace, let's say as an effect in a mixer channel
- from the dropdown menu below the icon on the left top, choose "show MIDI output" and choose a suitable output port, let's say 2
- load up an instrument, and assign its input (which is shown by default) port to the same, 2 in this case
- press one of those funky hexagram symbols in Chordspace and it outputs a note
- choose some arpeggio settings, such as UP, in Chordspace's lower right corner
- choose a speed for the arpeggio, say 1/4
- choose a root note in the big circle in the middle
- choose a chord from the hexagrams, just click on one and keep the mouse button pushed
... and you should hear an arpeggio emerging

XYZControl VST
http://haydxn.net/content/tools/XYZC...XYZControl.jpg
Control 3 CC parameters at once with your mouse; control both the position of the ball and its size by using the mouse wheel whilst dragging it around.
Put it before a synth in a host that allows such routings. To aid with midi-learn functions, you can RIGHT-CLICK the CC selector controls to send a single midi message on that axis. The 'sens' control adjusts how sensitive the mousewheel response is.
The panel is resizable so you can have it take up the whole screen if you like. The controls are fully automatable too, so you can record your movements.
I hope you find it useful!
how to use it in fl:
you can use it in FL, you need to go to the menu on the top-left and change it to "show MIDI output port" and then set the port to a number (like 10) in the top-right of the plugin.
Then you set this same number (like 10) on the top-right corner of the plugin you wish to control.

Monofilter provides a simple interface designed to convert a stereo signal below a specified frequency into a mono signal. The balance knob allows adjustment of the remaining stereo signal above the cutoff frequency.
Useful for ensuring that sounds are suitable for mastering to vinyl and keeping a check on LF signals in general, especially where stereo effects processing has been applied.

Naive LPF v 0.5
http://admiralquality.dynu.com/vstde...PF_GUI_640.jpg
Naive LPF v 0.5 is a resonant low-pass filter with envelope follower.
This filter has been developed to closely model the way some real world analog circuits work, as opposed to some other techniques which, while well adapted to the math processing power of a computer, just don't seem to render the same organic feel. Not to say that those techniques aren't just as valid, but I was going for a vintage, analog feel on this one. I'm primarily using this project as a test-bed for a full soft-synth, and in that realm we typically want "colorful" filters to make "warm" sounds. This was not intended to be a "clean" or "transparent" filter by any means! It is my first attempt at an audio filter, my first VST plugin, and my own first guess at how to approach a low-pass filter -- hence the name "Naive LPF". But really at this point it should be called the "Not-So-Naive LPF", because it's actually a quite sophisticated implementation and it's turning out to be useful. I'm finding it really does capture some of that vintage warmth I'm always looking for.
You will find this filter has a very warm, even distorted, analog flavor. But the distortion it does impart tends to sound very musical to the ear, particularly when processing individual instrument tracks (though it does some cool stuff when run on an entire mix too!)
Version 0.5 adds a gratuitous GUI, and about 6 MB to the download, but it sounds better for it! ;)
