Throbber
Throbber consists of an LFO driving a voltage-controlled amplifier (VCA) or multi-mode filter (VCF). Throbber is inspired by the description of the famous Throbbing Gristle "Gristleizer" effect box designed by Chris Carter, but is not intended to be an accurate simulation thereof.
Features:
• Voltage-controlled amplifier (VCA) mode includes simulated overdrive distortion; distortion amount is user-controllable.
• Resonant voltage-controlled filter (VCF) modes include 12dB/octave lowpass, highpass, bandpass, and notch as well as a 24dB/octave lowpass mode, all with user-controllable resonance.
• Versatile flanger/echo mode.
• 11 LFO waveforms drive the VCA gain or VCF cutoff frequency. LFO speed is user-controllable across a broad range.
• Compact and straightforward custom GUI.
