i also remember hearing a mix called "serious mind trip" or "serious road trip" and i think it had wippenberg - neurodancer on it.. ahh student days.. smokin the afternoons away listenin to strange bleepy noizes and not having a clue or caring what they were... good times.
plastikman sheet one
Being in Limelight Nyc around 1995
Hearing a song that jacked like nothing I ever heard before
Glenn Frisca was spinning.
Had a sample to De La Souls Saturdays
I was spinning house at the time
So when I went on my quest to find that record
It was Laidback Luke Act The Fool on Touche Records.
The crowd went off!
That record started the beginning to my introduction to what is good jacking techno.
The shit people danced to.
Not sat there and listened to, so they may hear one discrepancy in production value.
F*ckin' black turtle neck snobs ruined fun in techno.
You can quote me on that.
rob hood's minimal nation. that really got me.
centreforce fm back in 88/89

94 or so Patrick Lindsey - Nerv Crush_Harthouse 10" 009
You'll laugh at how recent this is in comparison to some of the things posted up already but Cox @ the crobar was a big one (it no longer is as big as i once thought it be  ) then came Dave Clarke @ Fuse, and finally Mills @ The Liquid Room all have shaped or influenced my taste in electronic music!
the first coulple of times i went to atomic jam in 97 i goodnt get enough of techno after that

R.I.P = The Sanctuary -Milton Keynes
ohh, for me it was one of the tracks on Surgeons Pet 2000 EP on Downwards, forgot the name of it
Was probably old hardcore techno of some sort... I remember Easygroove being one of my faves from the tapes I used to have.
