huge presence....a true leader.
Super nice guy too!!!!

He is a great DJ, although he is the only London techno DJ that ever gets booked in Melbourne apart from D T D and I'd really love to see some of the others. (ESPECIALLY ANT!!)
he's a great figure head
You used to be able to put 'acid techno' into google pictures and Chris Liberator was, like, picture 2.
Personally I think that he plays too many of his own tunes - I'd like to see more of a mixture of non-SUF tunes.
Definetly the best dj i've ever heard, his mixing is just incredible!
Totally agree about the smile
I wouldn't agree he plays too many of his own tunes, as whenever I've heard him, and on recordings of sets aswell you get a really nice variety of tunes, and there's always really nice progression in his sets.
Wicked DJ & a really sound bloke!
Chris Lib is playing at Pure Techno in Hull the first friday of next month
Perfect!!!!!!!Quote:

I tend to find every track listing I look at is 80-90% tunes off Stay Up Forever Collective. Whilst this is probably more of a factor that is his sound so that's what he plays - just once to hear him play a set of other peoples stuff would be nice = bit of a risk with the punters as they kind of expect SUf releases.Quote:

Yeah, it's a great vocal, really sums up the anti-sleb, punk ethos of the acid techno scene to me...Quote:

Yes Chris is an amazing DJ! Such great energy! saw him 03 and 01. he really brings it to the table! about his mixes, well he does tend to stay on the SUF stuff but well if thats the sound you play thats the sound you play, its hard to find stuff outside of the all the suf labels that carry that sound like they do.
Possibly one of the most fu*ked up tunes EVER!! :lol:Quote:

Chris said that DDR's 909 did actually have a picture of him on it & that Dave & Lawrie did the track as a piss take, because its nearly always Chris's voice you hear in acid techno tracks.
I invited Chris an Henry overhere in Belgium in february this year.
Two extremely nice persons! Really. i enjoyed speaking with Chris. I also enjoyed his set he played at our party. Everybody did, we got great comments on both guys their sets.
They surely will be invited again!
And indeed, his smile behind the decks is legendary
Apart from this all, think I'm one of Belgiums greatest acid techno fans, so I like liberator
my best eva nite comes with chirs liberator.... hed played at a "commerical" event in melbourne on the thur nite.... friday nite (more so sat morning) he was handed the decks at a "VIRUS" squat party... 3 hours we scored.... and a morning set at that coz the sun came up while he was playing..... AHHH THE MEMORIES......
and if his coming kid is half the DJ he is.... acid tekno wont die!
what squat scene is there in aussie now???
