There's about 20 new releases on germantrance.com and about 15 of them are absolute WANK hardstyle.
Do you not feel disgusted that all this wank is raping the scene?

Not at all. I play whatever is good, and i'm not really bothered if the rest is shite, because it's not related to me in anyway.
no it really is annoying the amount of shit hardstyle about. i feel like i'm having to put up listening to so much crap just to find the good stuff. it's getting really labour intensive too.
Yeah mate, I mean I don't mind GOOD hardstyle, but everything on there was absolute shite!!Quote:

Yeah that's it mate, I don't mind doing it on the occasion, but when it turns out that your doing that for almost every sample, you wonder whether to carry on!! :shock:Quote:

It goes on weeks for me sometimes. I've gone about a month before hearing something i've even remotely liked, but I still carry on. This was during the past 6 months, when I haven't played out much either so got away with not buying much. You have to stick with it through the rough times though.
The perseverence is paying off now because i'm buying quite a bit now, although not a lot of it could really be called hardstyle per se. I still listen to every release on Dance Pollution and Suntec even though they haven't released anything i've liked for months. They might one day surprise me.
Sure it was better a year ago when 9 releases out of 10 were brilliant, but you can't turn back time, and something new will come along soon.
I know exactly what you mean. buyin tunes ends up being a chore rather than a pleasureQuote:

Too true lads.
Its the time it takes to find the good tunes thats getting up my nose!!!
I spent 2 days this week searching around for fresh sounds for a gig I've got on saturday.
2 ****in days!!!!
I only bought 12 tunes!!!
Got some real bangers though! ;)
yeah this is outrageous. i don't remember it EVER being as bad as this. release overload!!!! especially with hardstyle. sometimes i just cant believe i'm sitting listening to crap like this damn suntec thing in order to find something good. i mean, traulling through this cheese for a few hours a day on the net is eventually going to infect your mind somehow. surely? hmmm. i do wonder sometimes. i need to find a way of sorting this out and fast.
ive been listening to loads today and at least 95% were shite :shock:Quote:

That would be class, imo there really doesnt seem to be anyone doing anythin good enough to right home about, sam punk was for a bit but now findin his stuff gettin a tad stale...
wats happenin.
The screetcy/scratchy synth is were its all goin wrong for me personally, is had the arse ripped out of it, and its been inspected by a 100 strong group of "high pitched squeel enthusiasts", put back together by that squad with a "super squidger 2000" to make it squeel 2000x Better.
Get rid of the squidge/squeel/screetch for me.
Yes what the F*ck is that screaching sqealing shit all about, how f*cked must u be to not think that sounds shite!
gives me a head ache afetr a while :doh:Quote:

when i hear that screech i really dont like it when i'm buying records. although when i hear it out (sometimes i'll play a hardstyle record for something other than the screech but it'll come in) you do see something in it's energy, but i fail to see how hardstyle can develop buy using this simple sound. it almost feels like hard house. in fact wasn't hard house based around one sound - the hoover oh, and an off beat bass?
Are these machines operated by Hardstyle Squeeling Squirrels?Quote:

That hurts me, as im well passionate about my music, but to see something im really into kinda go down the pan a bit, its sad.
Straight on for their black off shoot, deserve praise and support for having the balls to release what they have, the first 2 releases have been spot on and a welcome addition to my box. If i knew or had any contact with these guys i would have a 3 page email to them telling them how fantastic imo a job there doin.
Kinda said to myself at the turn of the year things hopefully would pick up, but they aint really.
Whats gonna happen? After goin on some foreign site and gettin my way thru there hardstyle section, i found 2 things. Millions of screetches and secondly wat could be a little more worryin for me anyhows. Was that more and more records carried a really cheesy or silly rap kinda vocal thing. Wats wi that?
Shame we are not seein kramer stuff, with a kinda hard german sound with a techy slant, along the lines off DSC 1.
Is the kinda thing Straight on doin the way forward? Havin an off shoot releasing that kinda dark german sound with hardstyle influence?
Yeah i've noticed the rap vocal thing. Definitely does not work...
Blame Mindcontroller for starting that whole thing!
Techno is the way forward IMO....
I can see myself playing ALOT of it in the future...
Is it for u tho mate, ave u just started playin it cause hard trance is quiet it at the mo? If thats ur reason then ur gonna get bored wi tech and move onto summit else? If u stick with wats in ur heart, the sound will come good again. Full circle and all.Quote:

fair play i suppose. im in no way bored at the mo thoughQuote:

You can end up getting typecast, and the genre will bring you down with it.
Just play whatever you like and don't really worry too much about what it is exactly. Music changes very fast, so you need to move with it and go where your ears tell you.
Of course if you still love the genre as much as ever then stick with it. Unnecessary change just for fashion or appearance is perhaps an even worse scenario to fall in.
For sure mate, but are u gettin experimental for the right reasons, are u gettin pushed into summit again that u mite lose interest in?Quote:
