UK Hip Hop and Psy Trance
Tech Trance.. does that count? Also some punk..
I have a real soft spot for cheesy late 80's early 90's dance pop like technotronic + salt n pepa :)
Also, love old skool hip hop, really digging house music lately (deep house and phat electro house) plus always loved my breaks...
Also find myself listening to oldies stations in the car, and I'm a big fan of The Doors, haven't listened to them for ages...
*puts on Doors CD*
Iron maiden, Old Metallica, lots of black metal, death metal.....
hip/trip hop some downtempo, abstract beats funky and head noddin stuff
so those of u who listen to HH mean hardcore stuff ? i dont like it that way beats must be smooth but chunky
I used to be into hardcore punk and ska, but after I started listening to techno and electronic music, I've started listening to basically any genre; hip hop, funk, soul, jazz, reggae are all on the menu and yet I still like guitar-based music like HC/punk or metal. With me, it's not about the genre, it's about the quality; I basically listen to what I feel is "good music"...

hard funky sexy house and breaks.
NZ dub n reggae groups.
Most of the top 10 shit on tv countdowns like Kellis ' Trick me'!!!!
i love that tune. Bought it last week and it had an adam freeland mix on it. doesnt get any better than that.
P-funk...clinton and brown etc, cheesy 80s shit.
Well my main style is Hard Trance/Trance, but I also like Basement Jaxx, Hard Dark D'N'B and a bit of Breaks.
I like hardcore, hardstyle, breaks, dnb, hip-hop and a lil hard trance but nothing that includes any cheese. Anything dark and dangerous and anything else that sounds good.
Tech-house, house, electro (read: not Gigolo/Bpitch), industrial, dub, 80's synth-pop, some indie rock, Queensbridge hip-hop circa mid-90's (Nas "Illmatic", Mobb Deep "The Infamous" etc), ambient, classical, and the bands formerly known as Failure, Wire, Magazine and Joy Division.
Breaks, reggae, D&B & 91 - 93 breakbeat hardcore
Hardcore techno, drum n bass, tech-house, tech-trance, old skool hardcore and proper hip hop...
100% no cheese please...
Hip-Hop - Ive been loving that longer than techno since 86! Loads of good producers around at the mo, loads of funky tunes.
80's pop always get's bought (or pinched) when i go down the local dump, I just got Phill Collins live album, Technotronic remix album and Paul Hardcastle's '19' which I have been hunting for years for - except it is the flippin' German version (I thought it was just released in Germany - not spoke n in German)
Breakbeat is realy doing it in a kinda dancefloor orientated modern vibe ?!!
+ I got the Streets album, which is pretty humorous and i can relate too, plus its got a techno paced track with a (shock  horror!!) ride cymbal banging through it!!!!
Yeah slate me for my tastes I know
just luv music in gereral.....dont matter what still it is, if i feel it i feel it, simple.
most listened to are hiphop/techno/drum an bass/wee bit of old skool/shit like placebo/radiohead/chillis
gotta be said tho the most listened to stuff at the moment is UK hiphop group -PhiLife Cypher...prob the best(defo one of the best) mc's yall ever get the privellege of listening to.....
Espesh "Life"- check this guy out, his rymes are just brillient..... i got alot of stuff of slsk.....
dnb dnb dnb for me....love the stuff....bit too much...
really feelin me 80s stuff too...technotronic are legends!!
Yeh Phi Life are quality! They came to Oxford a month or two back and did some sick freestyling! Just asking for a word from the crowd, then they'd rhyme on that subject, quality!Quote:

guitars can do the thing too sometimes.....
been tryin to listen to a lot of acid house lately, as well as some proggy shit. been rotating a good downtempo CD in my car as of the late. i lost all my punk CDs a year ago, and now my tape player has gone kaput! so im hurtin when it comes to listening to any of my old classics these days!
glad to see so many people like rap and hip hop. Some of the production on uk underground hip hop is great. Sometimes i think i could just listen to the beats in the background. Big beats and really well put together drum sequences. Also they seem to make the rhythm really funky at the same time.
drum and bass and breaks for me :)
as far as electronic music goes, techno is really the only straight beat music i am really into...i throw down some trancier stuff but its still techno in the end.
other than that, i love metal, hip hop, rock, industrial, and of course my favorite band ever, radiohead
thats it innit,Quote:
