i feel like a dork saying so, but after all these years richie hawtin continues to impress me.
there were a couple of threads in the last few months on the subject of production vs rawness, and i think it's still an interesting topic. i don't know if the "glasgow mix" was records or final scratch, but i was amazed to hear 4 hours of techno that was very raw and gritty with lots of old school influence, but still sounding fresh.
is this set on the net anywhere at all? ive heard a few people say this is a good set...

no shame in being impressed with richie, the lad is amazing.
recently downloaded an old school mix of his that is knocking about, and its really good.
would i be a dork if i posted that led zep is good? it just seems like it doesn't need to be said, yet i couldn't help saying it again anyway.

they're radio show mixes from detroit, '96. he put out these mp3s as part of a thank you after the first DEMF.
