This is one of the work ethics behind DirtyBass Records.
i also want to hear some wicked jungle kinda basslines in techno....
yeah some of the basslines in the Dirtybass tracks are ****ing monsterous, but smooth at the same time. i think using samples/noises from other genres is getting more popular these days, music is getting a lot more "**** it ...that sounds good, whack it in there" other than sticking to certain rules....it just makes music more interesting!
i love techno with hella bass, but it has to be original. remember speed garage? the same dub bassline played over a house beat over and over and over? no thanks.
i cant stand the classic drumcode remainings III style bassline at all
but i like the thomas krome shockabuku volume 2 style bassline...and stuff like that
:?: :?:Quote:

The Susual Suspects on Sativae recordings (the whole double EP) check out Si Begg and Steve Glencross for the killer the subbass.
Tube Jerk - Brainbag (on the B side to Dirty Black Discoteque)
all worth dropping in any mix, imo
edancer
ooohhh johnny..... Si Begg - Sound Equipment on that sativae double pack & Subhead - Disturbing House.
Check out Tim Wrights newish album on novamute. Not only does he put some er drum and bass bass lines underneath his techno he puts techno basslines underneath his drum and bass tracks. Some seriuos kick ass tunes on it.
i just love those cheesy "uh this is so dark and scary serious" basslines. it makes me feel 14 again!

no.5 out soon with a corking bass driven tune from Jim Fish with an extra deamlike feel. And 2 tunes by me.
Some other bits and bobs out this month as well, but I`ll plug em in the promo section.
