who are todays best producers? who is number 1?
for me personally
Joris Voorn, Paul Mac, Mark Broom, Ade Fenton, Surgeon, Ruskin (specificially Point 2), Oli Ho and up n coming definately The Divide, Laurens Van Der Starre (Lau on here)
What a bizarre question.
It`s not a competition.
And there are too many people doing different things to be rated "best"
However, in terms of who I find inspiring it would have to be
Franz Treichler
Arrovane
Trent Reznor
Luka Baumman
Innigo Kennedy
3D
Heiko Laux
Jorge Henze
erm, actually I could go on and on.
there is no number 1.
Henze is one of the only ones that is super ill at all forms of
its too diverse for there to be a number 1
Has to be tiesto.
I just burst in to tears and hug people when ever his songs come on the radio.
Either him or Hellfish. I'm undecided.

Speedy J for me.....
followed by Mark Broom,Paul Mac,Innigo Kennedy
Žarko Mraović
yeah no one is number 1 as it where, there are too many people doing too many different things to narrow it down totally, but i think its fair to say some people do stand out, and people obviously have their favourites
missed Speedy J and Inigo out whoops well reminded daniel son!
This the same trent reznor from NIN, the guy who worked with (the great) Jonny Cash before he died?Quote:

aye, deffo vogel and landstrumm with inigo and bmb when theyre on form.
what about mike humphries. his last mastertraxx was so cool
im surprised no one has mentioned Vince Watson.
This guy is absolutely incredible. I think his skills and great production talents are arousing suspicions in me that suspect he is actually trained in classical instruments prior to production. Or maybe those amazing chords he writes just comes from constant midi trial and error in the key editor? lol
hmmm.. ones that stand out for me are speedy j, mike paradinas, the dj producer, venetian snares.. maybe?
no.. Mylo!
Its hard to say as many guys have had a smoking hot year in terms of quality releases.
I will go with consistancy with this and say its a tie between D.A.V.E THE PLUMBER and PREACH.
speedy j is my fav producer at the mo but then alex calver , dave the drummer glenn wislon the horrorist acrosome ...............well i tried ,,speedy j ill go with as i seen at i love techno and my good i was blown away
:hmm:
El P from Def Jux & Madlib
Yeh he is good but I think he still has to be more consistent. He's made some very emotive and high quality tunes but he has also made alot of average and bland music too and until the good outways the bad I dont think he'd be number one or near that but some of his new tunes have been deadly. No. 1 of the echoes album sampler and his new record on superbra is hot to.Quote:
