well i don't htink lawrie will mind if mention a couple oif things
he uses a mac g4
and a mackie desk like all of us really.
909s and 2 303 devilfishes
but mainly he's really into his roland system 100m
which i must say is a total beast
also last time i worked with him we were getting into the virus quite a lot
there's loads more but i don't want to go into details
but the mad noises : system 100 mate

ZZZZZzzzzz....... thats a little played out now.
$199usd damn that's a good price!
its looks like a good price.. few crackly sliders but the shipping to ireland would be HUGE!!!!!!
The 100m shouldn`t be confused with the smaller system 100
The system 100 was a 3 piece modular kit.

The 100m is an infinitely exapandable monster modular bookoo schwingtastic noise machine-o-rama

this is true, but you have to admit 200usd for a really nice anolgue synth is a great price. juno 106's go for $600
I seem to remember that Jack Dangers from MBM was also a fan fo this beast..
HOLY S H I T THATS ONE FARKIN MONSTER!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
who needs wallpaper when you have one of them  :techno:
Imagine having a synth like that.
Man every time you used it, you`d have to put on a white lab coat, mess your hair up, and put on big bottle end specs.
You`d just have to.

and your saying there's something wrong with that? *removes specs and looks angrily at dirty bass...in the wrong direction*
i remember seeing ozzy messing around with a synth on mtv once... kinda looked like the mad scientist. anyone remember what it was? i *think* it was an ARP?

It was well bigger then that the thing ozzy was on wasnt it?

bit of a monster the system 100m isnt it?
there was a moog modular system too which was equally huge
and an arp i think but i never saw one.
talking of large ols synths the fairlight ,one of the first samplers,
was about the size of a wardrobe.
lawrie only has the one rack of the system 100m
but its got all the best bits in there
honestly it just does make great noises.
you can just plug it in and it'll wibble away to itself all day
another synth worth a mention is the ems vcs3
with a " battleships " style plug board patchbay
totally bizarre!
was thinkin of grabbing a roland sh32. they seem an inexpensive option at the moment. anyone used them? i've heard a few samples and they're not bad.
We got one of these

It was originally made by ETI systems, but was later released as a kit in the early 80`s by Maplin electronics.
and one of these

great synths, utilised patchboards too.
Only runs on CV though, and we never did get them retro fitted, but they make lovely noises.
