hmmm $£$ $£$ $£$ $ £$ $ $

O
hahah axis beach sandals
Well, that is what a lot of artists are doing in order to make a quid in an industry that isnt making money selling tunes as most music is pirate. It goes undere the banner of value adding or diversification....
I would have bought a Rally jacket & gloves back in the days when I used to race....hehehe....cool.
Haha I would never use American steel wrenches. They would break in a week.
Only Finnish/German steel tools are usable.
Good idea nevertheless... But he forgot to write what diameters the wrenches are.
So what is the story? Jeff has gotten into Nascar?
how about swedish steel? volvo is the only car i would drive in on highways .
Safe...
Wouldnt buy the wrenches either as they would only fit US made junk and not any of the cars in the rest of the world .
frederic gave me this little axis newsletter back in 2003 and there was an advert for this sandals
ok, i was a bit "wtf" but then again hehe why not :cheese:
same thing going on in other music styles for years
when you dont get enough money from music
you invest in something else
whats wrong with that??
you can always remember catalogues 10 years ago in every ID&T cd too
with bunch of merchandise, mainly shirts, lighters, caps...
things you use every day
Largest size is an L?
What a jip.

There are Plus8 condoms.
Luka: Volvo are great cars but they are not made of Swedish materials.

yeah yeah, man needs to earn and crust and that.
But I dunno, after all his philosophical waffle he comes out with, this just stinks of blatant capitalism.
Horrible horrible merchandising.
When will we get the jeff mills computer game?
Run around detroit, finding gigs in the old days.
enter the warehouse, see how many copies of the bells you can keep spinning at once.
Fight off any competition by re-releasing the same record again and again and again.
End of level boss is dave clark, who you have to out poncify in a most pretencious interview competition.
Weapon bonuses: 909. 909. 909 and a 808.
good one ;)
i still dont see the big deal
bunch of pussies
Well it's not a big deal its just a bit funny that Mills a very serious and philosophical techno producer now has a wide range of merchandise. Pencil sets, wrenches, sandles and gloves etc.... There is definitley something funny their, or maybe this will all be needed when we move to mars and all this stuff will be vital when we get there?
And don't give me that bollox about him making a crust! The chap gets nearly 7 grand sterling to play in some places so he's not strapped for cash. I'm not complaining about that and fair play to him and i know he probably wants to expand the brand but all this merchandise is a little overkill IMO. Maybe if he was more concerned with the quality of his tracks and his mixes this wouldn't be problem but from what I can see his focus has changed a little that's all.
He drops stings of life, the bells and nights of the jaguar nearly every night and gets good money to do it. I would feel like I was cheeting people if i was doing that. I know thats what some people want from Mills but fuk that I'd make sure I was keeping my sets fresh as possible for that money.
Again I want to say that I'm a huge fan of Mills' but loyalty can only last so long when what you like him for is slowly dissapearing. The sets of his i've seen have been dubious and his last decent record was .................. a good while ago considering how much average music he's put out.
This is his new purpose maker release, would be interesting to see what you think of this.......... take into consideration all the other purpose makers that have been releases as well.

sounds like typical purpose maker to me. I'd play A1
gimme gimme gimme!!! where can i buy said game?!!!! :lol:Quote:

I was soooo hoping that the large axis searchlight would be like a bat sign projector type thing, projecting the axis logo into the sky to signal Mills' mothership or something.
well if the records are selling, of course he's going to re-release it
like you wouldnt, lol
this is hilarious
pretty much makes all the intellectual and philosophical bullshit he ties's to his image just that, bullshit. As much as i respect his djing and what he's done for techno, this is too much. And dont give me that not making enough money off the music rubbish, the man commands up to and above £10,000 - £15,000 per gig, and has done for many years now. Saying he's skint simply wont wash
what next, Axis Air? Cheap flights to the home of Jeff Mills, where you can then take a guided tour of the Axis Museum and Visitors Information Centre
you are so controversial.Quote:

HAHAHAHHAHAHA fuk wehter hes going even more commercial thats well funny ! them gloves and that wrench ahahahah
if Mills was from UK and on BOA, most of you would lick his ass
You all are just cranky because you got no ass/pussy for the latest two years. =)
it doesnt particulary bother me in the sense it doesnt anger me, i find it funny and hypocritical that's all. When someone who is already a millionaire comes out with such tacky, demeaning and downright money grabbing merchandise, you really do have to wonder
I guarentee I wouldn`t.Quote:

bwahahahaha
you're all crazy... mills is a v influential figure in techno. you gotta respect him. he's making some cash - whatever - what is wrong with making money?. he's not forwarding techno imho.. but i love him. he was a big part of my life.
we respect that marky, thats obvious i think, but come on.... i think ANYONE in music putting out such non-music based merchandise would get ribbed, its hilarious, really, imagine Glenn Wilson Barometers, or Marco Bailey Carp Rods, or Kraftwerk Frozen Cup Drinks.... or Dj Ribbz Eyelash Extensions or whatever
to be honest they are such weird items i doubt the average mills fan would be interested in them anyway, and he might not make much at all on them
the respect is a side issue really, no one is above a bit of mickey taking, especially for such a venture :)
its great
you love everyoneQuote:

i mean i'd feel weird making classically trained musicians play that shizzle. who's he think he is :techno:
no problem with that kind of marketing but as you said it really doesn't go hand in hand with the philosophical bullshit he utters...

Albeit an expensive sport but thats probably why he did it.
Wrench quality this and that, it's a novelty.
When bands have t-shirts and posters its called marketing.
Why player hate someone making money.
Adam Beyer makes a ton of money playing out, still makes quality music, and I am sure he made some change off the Drumcode slipmats and tshirts. Is he not keeping it real anymore?
very pretentious
the logical progression of the ego of 99% of most dj and artists.
