Cocoon is on Holloway Circus, kind of near Richer Sounds + Nostalgia comic shop (but across the road). its been totally revamped and used to be some kind of caberet nightclub. i think jigsaw are doing something there and Anton Debiage is doing something as well. hopefully there should be a second room on our night for added value!

Confusion! I just had a drive round that area and couldn't find it. It's not in the old radius building, that's now painted cream (nice!) and called scarlets. It's also not cobarna's which is the one on the corner oposite richer sounds. To be fair, I was driving so couldn't use my eyes to their full potential but it must be fairly well hidden (or the sign hasn't been put up yet).
i think it used to be called The Jester and was some kind of caberet club.

You're not wrong, it was probably Birmingham's oldest and most notorious gay bar. But not any more. Now it's a very cool underground club, good size (about 350-400), good PA, and judging from what's gone on so far a friendly atmosphere. Looking forward to rockin' the place on the 29th :eyes:Quote:

anyway, went down to cocoon for the first time on saturday, its dead easy to find, just go opposite richer sounds and round the corner! the sound system is pretty good and there was a friendly atmosphere! roll on friday!
Looking forward to this one. I'm off til the following thursday too so should be able to do things properly.
So lets get on it everyone, support the new night / venue.
PS does "you once gave me a lift to chester" qualify as a reason for VIP?! :lol:
