Jonny Evans the Rapist?

Manchester United defender Jonny Evans was being questioned today over the alleged rape of a woman at the club's Christmas party, sources said

the 19-year-old was arrested yesterday following the party at the Great John Street Hotel in Manchester

Greater Manchester Police were called to the hotel at 4.15am yesterday following reports that a 26-year-old woman had been raped, a police spokeswoman said a man was arrested on suspicion of rape yesterday evening after presenting himself for questioning

the Manchester Evening News reported that the entire Manchester United first team - excluding Cristiano Ronaldo - attended the club's annual Christmas party, the players were reportedly entertained by burlesque dancers during their meal at the Manchester 235 Casino, they were also reported to have had a drink at the Old Grapes, a pub owned by former Coronation Street actress Liz Dawn

this morning, the Manchester United players arrived as normal at their Carrington training ground shortly after 9am, Evans was not among them

I mean at the end of the day just coz hes a footballer doesnt mean hes not capable of it...

Hes not exactly high profile either so what would she gain from it...

not really, all these so called rapes by footballers, the cases are dropped, it's usually foreign prostitutes who make the allegations. fair play if he did do it then i hope he goes down for it. but I would be very suprised if he is guilty.

i mean how are these hookers to know if he is high profile? she was probably tipped off he was a united player and she went for him.


either that or they are silly girls, lured by the players fame, wanting to bag themselves a footballer, had too much to drink, slept with someone, later on felt a twat and cried rape.

I do find it hard to believe a footballer, even a minor united player would put himself in such a position.

why are these girls even let into the parties? when most of the players are married. it doesnt make any sense. if united dont want headlines like this they should not let their players go on benders and not let women of the night and fame hungry harlots into the party.

It wouldn't surprise if this got dropped too, though several footballers have got away with speeding because they have top lawyers, whereas if it was one of us we probably wouldn't have had a hope of overturning it, so you never know...

Plus convictions for rape are meant to be really low... Though you never know with women, I wouldn't put it past a lot of them making it up, apparently at least 3 or 4 girls I know have been raped, but who knows...
