Serious Hardstlye Vote... please post your vote!

Now I need a seious vote here... is this good hardstyle or bad hardstyle?

Hardstyle is really going in three directions... the dark way, the hard house way and the wierd way.

The dark and the wierd way is the way for me. A new sound which has feeling and purpose. Hard House way, is just the way of the boring same old noises being used to create a hard fast paced pile of noise.

I personal thought on first hearing of this track "hey... not bad" but this was soon replaced with "err... is that it?" followed by "so wheres the track then? This is not a track? its a collection of repetative noises?".

I just don't feel this is music... it lacks purpose and is just exisiting because someone wanted to make something using the ideas of every other early hard style tune.

There's no ambition it seems to produce something new... only make your version of what's already about. We need new ideas for hardstyle, too many people are running away from it as if its about to die - some because they think it has died. It hasn't...

Am I wrong? or am I right? - Either way... I just want to hear your views. Please make them deep and meaningful where you can!

This kind of stuff is the reason why i went of Hardstyle quickly !

Children could put all those Squeek samples and famous Snare Drum and Bass together !

There is still some well produced intelligent Hardstyle out there , but it gets harder to find as this shit still sells !

Apologies if the producer reads this , but come on , my brother could make that and he lives for rap !

It also makes it hard for peeps who put there heart and soul into making tunes , trying to make it fresh , and get it out there only to get knocked down by this poo !

I'm glad I've not gone mad then. I was worried that I would get a flood of responses saying "this is amazing... hakka yo've lost the plot mate..."

I really like a cunt for not liking this, because the person who has made it has gone all the way to have it pressed and released... just so hardstyle fan like me can say how shite I think it is.

but then again, you have to ask... has this REALLY been made to compliment the genre or to make money?

I find it hard to know how either is really an option of this tune. Its just boring.

I also think that true promo's are not geting honest feedback anymore. What big DJ got a copy of this and charted it?

someone has to be buying it, and we can hardly ask distributors to stop allowing shite music to be allowed to reach the shops as the shops need to make there money too and if it sells they are now doubt going to want to keep them selling.

Maybe I'm misguided or deluded, but I think I can help hardstyle production wise... I have ideas which if I can deliver them to how I think of them, they will be good (I hope).

I also see the potential of Vorny and Wez doing the very same for hardstyle.

I hope that the UK can next year hit the italians and dutch back with UK HARDSTYLE, which is the next best thing.

I'm really hoping we can do it - I'm getting closer all the time to having my finished track the way I would love to hear it if I was record shopping and how I would love to hear it in the club.

Best of luck to anyone else who I've missed too who is from the UK and is trying to hardstyle produce!

put that beat again tehre , same bass , snare snare , crappy tune , burn , send , sell !

thats why i get so angry when i bust my ass in full time employment , then home until early hours of the morning , put all the efforts i can into getting a fresh as **** sound , testing with people !

in the time i take to make one tune , some make 10 !

absolutely man. Maybe that's the advantage we have... our generation of UK producers has the passion to create something worth while... and we are not fueled by the money maker desire.

Sure I'd love to earn a living off it, but I would never sacarifce the music for the money. That's missing the point of music.

One problem I think mostly italian labels are suffering from, is that the head of the label is the main producer. So he hammers out his own work regardless if everyone thinks its shit. Where as other labels have a manager who probably wouldn't let something like that get released. Also there is NOT ENOUGH remix colaberation. Labels are just releasing there own stuff and not considering cross-producer mixing. This is important and was rife in 2002... we have scot project, shokk, flutlict, uberdruck etc... mixes on other labels which added so much diversity and cross-ideas.

I wont go as far as not listening to some producers, but I do get very frustrated when the SAME THINGS are being done every release. Blutonium are awful at the moment, masters of bass was good but before that I wasn't happy with anything they did... right back to "go burn that fatty ass" - that was the last release they did I loved.

If we can't rely on the producers doing the right thing abroad, its up to us to set the standard.

OK , we are nothing at the moment , a mere pimple on the ass of the industry , but the sheer volume of talent i have heard on this one board is immense , im gobsmacked !

Again it really winds me up that the standard of sound on this very board gets over ruled and not given a chance by the greedy ****ers who have made it and dont give others a chance !

Hard house listeners could say the same about hard trance, i dont think it really matters if producers are making music like this, if people like it and want to buy it, then whats the problem?

This is complete rubbish, the riff is non-existant. The bass is obviously lifted, the bleeps are just shit, no power to them whatsover, there's too many of them, and they are too high pitched, meaning it has to be played at a fast speed which is NOT what hardstyle is about.

I doubt the producer went out soley to make money out of it, he is obviously an amateur and this is a very under-developed tune, made by someone with limited and undeveloped production skills. How this kind of thing gets to be pressed onto vinyl really is beyond me. I have many friends who are making their own tunes with Reason, who havent found labels yet, but are a million miles ahead of this kind of thing.

The above goes for all hard-house influenced hardstyle, and most of the blinging black spoken vocals used in hardstyle.

Only reason I say its a problem, is because people like Simon Pitt and Soundfixation, who 8 months ago called there night the "Plymouth's first hardstyle night" are of the opinion that italians have killed hardstyle and its the new hard house. Soundfixation said that he was not going to be playing any hardstyle in his recent 6 hour set... why not??!?!!? - to me its going back on the principle of the night you started, but then again I respect that if he wants to do that then cool.

Just two poeople who I know loved hardstyle 8 months ago have changed there tune too quickly (sorry about the pun!) and I think hardstyle does have life...

two when i go clubbin i hear allmost only the party sound of hardstyle the short almost scratchin sound, that real hardstyle......

but f"ckin this german (i guess) track is based on commercial elements which the producers think that they will have a hit whit!!!! damn man that a label will sign this stuff, it makes me sick and i believe when i hear this sound 1 time i go clubbin i will trow up and go lisning to classis fm, i hope that no one will vote on yes cause he will kill hardstyle :dontevengothere:

just took a listen to it then, the sort of thing i wouldnt give 50p for in a charity shop, ridiculous "music" really. very much like the poorest hard house i kept on hearing a couple of years ago.

probobly took an hour or 2 to produce and not a great deal of thought, i dont see whay people are given the privelidge of having there stuff brought out when its clearly rubbish, im not one to put down music either i usualy respect it even if its perhaps not entirely up my street but stuff like this is a joke!
