video on this looks good. i've used pioneer one aswell.
can anyone say what they are using what they think?
CDJ 1000S man you wont regret it
it will come in pretty handy calvin, i just got a pioneer cdj 200 for now, running with technics mk3's & djm 600 mixer, like yourself fella handy for playing tracks sent to you & shit, also cheap downloads if ya want some tunes & aint got so much cash. i got mine off ebay for about £250 new with P&P.
alwite matey, no you can't spin it back unfortunatley, it's a jog wheel not platter type, depends on your budget what you want fella, i was the same bit stuck for $$ so opted for the cdj 200, it's a good little deck like & will give you the confidence to play out on a cdj 1000 in a club if 1 is present. here's a link so you can have a ganders calv.

ok. so what is the dfference between jog wheel/platter type/direct drive?
imo pioneer is usually over-rated (the top end stuff anyway) and too expensive. i wonder if numark/stanton.vestax have cheaper alternatives.
theres one going on ebay, cheap aswell, and im ****ing skint.
basically the jog wheel you can't spin back etc, used for correcting your tune to fast or slow, the platter types cdj 1000 you can put it in turntable mode for scratching, spin backs etc. also jog wheel & platter can be used for fine tuning cue points on your tracks. stick to pioneer calv honestly fella, if not though go with denon.
mate get the technics cd deck - easy better than the rest....
i want this might be best for you dude as well in the future

How the hell do u post pics on here?? My setup is 2 Technics 1200s, 2 Pioneer CDJ 1000s MK 3s and Pioneer DJM 600.
Pionner is not over-rated man...save up for the best
i used to have a technics sl-dz1200, but when it got stolen i replaced it with a pioneer cdj1000 mk3, i've also used a denon. the pioneer is a lot more reliable and solid that the others. plus, you're far more likely to find them in clubs... i got mine for £500 on ebay. worth every penny, but if you can afford that, go for the cdj200 i reckon.
well i want direct-drive platters that i can cue up like normal vinyl.
don't like the sound of the jog-wheel.
i have used the cdj1000mk3s. was just like using vestax vinyl decks or summat, very tight and responsive. just so expensive.
F*ck that man, the minute my missus takes the place of me mum I'm off!
i like this

I've got 2 numark axis 9 cdj's and have to say they are excellent value for money. OK numark hasn't the best rep but for the features u get for £200 quid each including scratching, spin backs and vinyl like cue ups u cant beat it.
still would love pioneers tho............ *fades into a cdj400 dream*
p.s. much cheaper 2nd hand on ebay too!
Just my 2p on this...
I have never, ever, seen anything other than Pioneer CD decks in any club or free party I've ever been to or played at.
I've heard a plethora of arguments about how product X, Y or Z is technically superior (particularly the Denon range) but the Pioneer has the edge on ubiquity.
whatever you do, don't bother with the technics ones... you really don't need a cd player that pretends to be a turntable, it's pointless.
those denons look good though.
now on these denons you can http://www.guitarcenter.com/Denon-DN...08-i1156119.gc
im in love
If you have a laptop and you have decks, then something like Final Scratch is cheaper and less hassle than CD decks. Especially if you're getting a pair, and once you have one you'll eventually want two.
In fact, even if you don't have a laptop you can probably get something of a good-enough spec for around the £350 mark, so FS + laptop is fair cheaper than two CDJ1000s.
Just get final scratch/serato/traktor scratch
You could buy a new laptop and traktor scratch for the price of 2 decent CD decks.
yeah but with two cd decks your talking up a lot less room than a laptop , two turntables and the final scratch thing.
i think i would neeed to have a go at both for a week or so before i could decide.
i'd like the cd decks , because i know a lot of people/venues you cd decks (equally so final scratch, probably ((i dont really go out much))) and i like to know how to mix with cd decks if im at a party or summat.

i think i might buy one of these. has also a cd recorder built into it.
massive reduction on price. could fit what im looking for, i think the colour is a bit ghey but . . .
this Vestax looks good. colour actually looks okay more like a Wii finish.
effects on it are amazing esp with record function.
