Just a little video for promotion for the NExt Singularity release with Force and Voidloss.
The editing is a little rough as I am still getting back into using Premiere.

nice one. :-)
I think thats superb !
who are the actors/ dancers ?
mates of yours ?
The main dancer is Imre Thormann, the king of european Butoh.
well worth the watch/listen
cool video man!
did you set up the shoot yourself?
how did you get it together ?
tell me more I"m very interested in doing a video for some of my tracks
I think techno really changes into something new when the images are right to go with it.
for example, this track , I don't think it's my normal kind of thing really
and if i heard it on Beatport or Juno or whatever
I'm not so sure I'd buy it, straight off the bat.
but now with the video
it's totally opened my mind to the music
it gives it a perspective that it doesn't have as a track alone
and that's very interesting.
there was a post a few months back of an oscar mulero video
similar kind of thing
black and white - industrial- freakish - horror movie - david lynch type stuff
and I really enjoyed that too , and it made me search for the track.
so yes please explain what you did to get this realized
I'm keen to know more.
and I'm sure everybody else is too.
Well, I`ve been into Butoh for ages, I`m actually going to be doing some live improvised soundtracks for some Butoh performances for Butoh UK.
The raw footage is from various Thormann performances I just sifted through and then processed and edited after being sent it.
Although performing the live sound for various shows will give me more input into getting the footage as I want it, as I want more close up work of muscle tension and particularly hand work, for future footage.
The footage was edited in Premier so obviously you have access to the audio timeline and can edit directly to the timeline.
It is pretty time consuming though.
Ideally I want to incorporate video footage into my live techno performances to provide my own visuals, but I`m not sure if this is more appropriate for the art gallery than the club, as the music and visuals I am leaning towards don`t seem to lend themselves to the escapist, lets have a good time, vibe of a night club.
I suppose I am getting more into the world of the poncey arteeest.
I`m currently shooting footage for Singularity 006, and I¬ll send you the finished deal, if your interested henry, I could possibly have a go at working on some visuals for you. I graduated in film years ago and specialised in animation, so I`ve been doing this for years, I¬ve just focused more on musical output, all my visual art tends to be more personal stuff that never leaves my house, or gets further than the eyes of close friends.
wicked stuff Steve! very twisted :D
hey great video - brilliant to see some decent AV - keep it up.

me and a mate of mine were toying with the idea of shooting something for a track. I'm yet to complete the track.

Its funny because i was also thinking of doing something similar... You beat me to the punch!!! ARRRRRRRGGGGGHHHHH!!!!
Great job man....
Great idea. Love the video.
More of this. More of this from everyone. Why don't more people do this?
MORE!
we got a zombie movie in the works at the mo so im gonna need a soundtrack.
Nice video.
If people are after videos like this, then I can help out. Drop me a line to discuss if you want. I'm a freelance editor, colorist and post producer. Provide me with footage, or we can discuss footage (even performance footage like I have done recently for the Concrete DJz, taking small mobile phone footage and getting this: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=tqURZxYvH5M)
I can also do release promo videos like http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=khS_Jt11wAk which was produced using just the artwork and press feedback.
Dark, industrial, styled videos are me thou. :)

Seriously I am your man for this kinda shit! Ask Jay Pace. I'm also getting back into VJing (having performed over 2 days at Glade recently) and I could possibly work directly with London based ideally producers/DJs. Producing unique video performances.
Sorry for the self promotion, but this is exactly what I am into. :D
That stuff you did for jhazen was ace, Mike.
It's on here if anyone's interested.
Thank you. That Hazen video was a lot of work. All manually edited to the beat.
I'm working on a short piece for Henry's Skywave Systems project.

I'll show you a rough one thru MSN if you like.
Oooo, that's nice man.
Cheers. Will post a link up here when it's done. He's sent thru some comments (that was the first draft) but it should be done this week easy.
I think there is too much cliche in electronic music videos.
Too many "psychedelic" images.
Ie kaleidoscoping, swirling etc, or the same images ie computer images and soundwaves etc for techno, sunrises and water for trance etc
Things have barely moved on since the X-Mix days.
It`s why I made the video I did, trying to bring something different to the game.
I think too much techno has become fascile and disposable, and it needs to change, and the imagery also needs to change.
More originality is needed.
Well said. :)
All hip hop/rap videos are the same.
Don't forget wall to wall hoes.
That's what Techno is missing. WHORES!!! haha
Touche. lol
