Fuk knows what happens in that group now? Apart from Croatia it's anybodys for second spot.
I still expect Germany to go through. I've not looked at the tables, so i don't know if it's mathematically possible for Poland or Austria now.
Vienna will become Cordoba on monday, Austria will beat the German monkeys
We played really well yesterday ( we`ve also been the better team against Croatia), our strikers are too harmless, that`s our problem, there was a big discussion why Hickersberger didn`t nominate Maierhofer, he is a real top-scorer.
Monday will be interesting, Poland, Germany and Austria still have chances.
good to see more people from europe posting in the footy section
it's all about croatia, and they have the nicest footy kit too. the away kit is nice too,
been wearing the home kit this week :yup: cant beat nike footy tops.
didn't see any of the footy last night, well done to Croatia though, great result for them
i heard the penalty decision for Austria against Poland was a bit harsh
Now that is why they are called the flambouyant dutch.
Superb
complete total football from the dutch there!
one of the best all round performancers ive ever seen...
these guys are on fire
oranje!!!!
The 3rd and 4th Dutch goals by Robben and Sneijder were absolute class...
I have never seen France been on the backfoot so much before...
Great match that tonight.....
The Netherlands are on a role..6 points,7:1 goals, and they beat non other than the World Champions and the vice champions..I don´t see any team atm who´ll be able to beat them, impressive performance..
If you stop and analyse their performances they scored the first goal - one was a bit dubious, the other from a corner, then they just sat back and hit the oppostion on the counter, it's not like they were camped in the opposition's half all game, quite the opposite.
I think if they concede first they'll be in trouble because their defence isn't that great really, unless they can afford to get numbers behind the ball, and even then they didn't look impregnable. Plus Domenech and Donadoni don't have a clue and they're not the forces they were 2 years ago for one reason or another (the retirement of Zidane, no big controversy to bring the Italian team together etc).
Romania will probably go through now and both coaches will be sacked, and quite right too.
almost time for us to reintroduce spain to its old friend "choke" :;
we looked terrible until the first spanish goal the things picked up nicely. excellent equalizer
Holland can now field a second string side, lose to Romania, thus ensuring France and Italy go home..............will they tho'?
What a match! Turkey Vs Czech replublic
Madness!
that is all.
yea great game that.....cant believe how feeble kohlers fall was when the keeper pushed him...
still a sendin off like
Yeah that Turkey - Czhech match was unreal. Bloody players scoring bloody goals, well done Turkey, bad luck Peter Cech.
I'd like to form a squad of who I think played the best this Euro so far, join me with your picks if you have time.

haven't watched much footie over the past few days, caught the Holland vs France game on friday night, sick counter attacking football from the Dutch, class
and the Turkey vs Czech game last night also, quality drama
The first goal against Italy, where van Nistelroy was supposedly played on by an injured player who was off the pitch - how can he be considered active? Maybe it should have stood by the current laws of the game, but by common sense it shouldn't have stood.
They were only able to play their counter attacking football because they scored first - what if the other team scores first? They could do to Holland what Holland did to France and Italy and then people would be saying what - they're shit all of a sudden because they had a few goals put past them?
It's not like their defenders are the best, if they were stretched because they were chasing a goal they could very easily get torn apart themselves.
France out and they cant complain, it really aint been there tournament that's for sure....
It could of all been so different for Italy if Mutu had scored that penalty against them...
Yeh they were not themselves. Some tasty match-ups on the way though.
Russia vs Sweden 2:0,impressive performance by Russia..
very good result well done the ruskies.
good luck to your boys acidguru, i do like germany.
but all i have to say it
HRVATSKA!
Who will win it now? What do you think? Any favorites?
I think it's gonna be something like this......
Taking into account tradition, current form, skill, flair, experience, motivation, squad depth, head coach experience.... this is my take on in.
% of winning the Euro
Holland - 27%
Portugal - 16%
Spain - 16%
Italy - 13%
Croatia - 9%
Russia - 8%
Germany - 8%
Turkey - 3%
Germany have a better chance than that I reckon!
if portugal win tonight they will be playing in final i quess
second team in final... my vote is for holland
It was as good a performance as I've seen at Euro 2008 from Russia yesterday, I was very impressed with their football, and they defended better than most of the other front runners I'd say...
germany will beat portugal.
Still holland and croatia for me. Would be a great final
just watched Germany beat Portugal, good game, felt for the Portuguese a bit, they played some quality football
guess we'll find out what Ronaldo wants to do now
Aye cracking game that the night..
Both bookies i went in had Portugal as hot favourites to win...
I went with Germany though, paid of nicely in the end...
today, history is repeating, after 400 years croats are meeting the turks in vienna again
russia deserved to win; we did not. but it wasn't a good game. russia looked fast, skilled and determined to get to the quarterfinals. we looked like we were playing a friendly or, worse, a "we're already through" garbage game.
barely half of our players were even running. no one except zlatan, henrik and freddie even tried to finish plays. this isn't a bloody friendly against norway, fellas, this is do-or-die! we died. disgrace.
but fair-dos to the ruskies, who did look impressive.
Great victory for Germany..I´m sure we´ll make it to the final,no matter who´s next,Turkey or Croatia..
Yeah, Germany look like reaching the final at least now, they have a great record in the knock out stages, I wouldn't be surprised if they won the tournament. They looked great going forward, just a shame they didn't keep the concentration at the back and eased off at 2-0 to let Portugal come back at them.
I'm counting on Croatia winning! Though after Billic's remarks about Turkey I wouldn't be too surprised if they came back to haunt him and it helped motivate Turkey to win. You'd think they'd been to strong so far to go and lose to Turkey, but you never know.
As for Russia, I think they have a better team than Sweden.
it was hustle and determination. russia wanted it; we didn't. we played the worst match i've seen us play since euro2000, and far and away the worst we've played in this tournament. russia, on the other hand, played lights out and utilized their talents. so yeah, that does go back to hiddink firing his guys up, but it wasn't tactics...there was no need!
me too.
it's possible, but keep in mind russia looked awful against spain whereas we looked competent, if long in the tooth, in our match against spain. no doubt the side russia put on the pitch was dominant over ours. but if we'd met them earlier in the tournament, when arshavin was injured and wilhelmsson was not and when we played with some sense of purpose, i don't think the result would have been the same.
God! this match is boring:grimace:
