SPEAKON CONNECTIONS FOR PA AMP/SPEAKERS

Does anybody know any site that give info on using speakons for PA sytems.

I need to make 2 cables (speakon to 1/4 jack), one for each channel to go from the amp to the speaker.

BUT

I need to know which pins on the speakon (i have a 4 pole one) are used and ther polarity, then i will be able to connect these to the jack(i know what pole is what on these).

If you look closely the terminals on the speakon will actually be labled 1+ 1- 2+ 2- and you want to use 1+ and 1-...

4 pole speakons often tend to have the 2+ and 2- terminals labeled on the outside of the connector as well.

yeh ive wired them up now, they were marked 1+, 1-, 2+, 2-.

Sorted.

Now to annoy the neighbours with the rig.. ;)
