    Default The Horrorist

Any opinions on him? Ok, we all know "One night in NYC" blah, that's cool.. but what of his other stuff, opinions? As far as I've been led to believe his live sets are amazing, anyone seen him?

love the guy, heard reports he was hammering some seriously hard gear up in scotland last year.

got a few of his tunes, flesh is the fever,in the year of 99 and wet n shiny.
wouldnt say hes one of my favourite producers but for throwing out that odd track thats just that little bit different, horroist is ya man.

would love to see him live, heard its a proper mad 1.

"Flesh is the fever" is so tough, I love it. It's a good mixture of techno speed but with the dark gabba style roughness of his roots (Oliver Chesler - Industrial Strength etc) Not always keen on his vocals, but on "Flesh" they work perfectly, especially on the middle refrain "These are the things, the things to come...!

I saw him live in Glasgow a year or so back. Tremendous stuff. The raw energy came across really well.

He's to play Ireland in October Sunil, so you'll get a chance to see him.

The original Mission XTC was on Things To Come 002, which has also got Flesh Is The Fever and One Night In NYC on it.

Metal Man with Marc Acardipane was another excellent track, I remember that getting played a lot in the techno clubs in Edinburgh.

It's well worth checking the Hypnotizer stuff on Things To Come as well, that's Miro (off Acardipane, also known as Stickhead on Kotzaak) and he does some excellent techno influenced stuff.
