the mutator looks interesting, but so far i'm still leaning towards the sherman. it will be a few months before i can buy any new kit anyway, so i might as well start saving for the one that makes the sound i want.

i guess in the meantime i can experiment using the nord modular. it's filters aren't the greatest sounding, but it does have envelope followers, and i want to try the thing where you modulate the cutoff frequency of one sound using an envelope follower on another.
