i'm about to give it a try. if i can come up with something that doesn't suck i'll post it.

well i put something pretty basic together in the nord modular, and ended up with hours of fun tweaking it. i'm on at 15% patch load so i have lots of room.

all i did was run a synth into the R audio in on the NM, and a drum track into the L audio in. the synth is then sent through a multi-mode filter and out the main outs. the drum track is fed to two envelope followers, one of which controls the cutoff of the synth's filter, the other controls the resonance.

i played a static loop on the synth, and as i faded a drum track in, the synth went crazy, just as hoped. still needs work, but this will definitely keep me entertained for a while. :)

i read on another forum the mfc 42 lacks character.

Sweeeet cuz ive been lookin at gettin one but when i read the 'lack of character' thread it got my mind thinkin. Comments like yours put back the smile on me face :)
