This is a monster monster occasion for us here at Electric City. The bone-fide legend that is Francois K gets his passport stamped at the Electric City check-in desk this Thursday. We're knocked out to be able to present his first ever appearance in Ireland. The chance to see Monsieur K in a venue such as the Metropolitan does not come along very often - this is a once-in-a-long time opportunity. Outside of New York, it is a very rare occasion that sees Francois K play a club this size.

The man has been at the front of cutting edge music for over 25 years now, from playing at seminal New York clubs such as Experiment 4 and working with Prelude records all the way up to the current day running the acclaimed Body & Soul and Deep Space parties and Wave Music record label. Not to mention the small matter of working with the likes of Kraftwerk, Depeche Mode, The Cure, Mick Jagger, Yazoo, Diana Ross, Thomas Dolby, Dinosaur L, Jimmy Cliff, Eurythmics, The Smiths, Black Uhuru, King Crimson, Alexander Robotnick, Cabaret Voltaire, Juan Atkins, B-52's, Femi Kuti, Moloko, Green Velvet, Cesaria Evoria and and and and and........!

We could go on all day but suffice to say Francois K is a musical hero to us here at Electric City and this performance is not to be missed. Featuring decks, effects units, CDs, processors, this will be an amazing night of music crossing all boundaries. Starting off the nights proceedings will be EC resident Giles Armstrong.
