This Thursday Dave Clarke drops in for his Electric City debut. Since he
first played Dublin in the heyday of the Temple of Sound many years ago [the
night EC resident Giles Armstrong stood in a queue for 10 minutes after
Clarke's set to ask him how his dogs were!] Dave has gone on to become one
of techno's leading & most influential artists. No stranger to Irish clubs
[or Depots] this will be a great opportunity to witness him up close and
personal [ringside seats around the DJ booth will be available on request]
in the intimate settings of the Metropolitan. On the night, The Baron will
be treating us to a rare two hour set of electro so expect a slick selection
of new and classic electro tracks from the likes of Aux 88, Anthony Rother,
Hashim, Detrechno, Dynarec, Zeta Reticula, Adult, on labels such as
Satamile, Delsin, Data Punk, Electrix and Touchin Bass.

DJing before Clarke is Alan O'Boyle [Decal]. Alan last played the club back
in December alongside T.Raumschmiere. His live set that night will be
remembered as one of the highlights of 2003. Decal is just about ready to
release his second album, this time on respected New York electro label
Satamile. This will be a chance to hear tracks from that album alongside
other killer electro from Dynamix 11, Larry McCormack, Frankie Bones, The
Operator and more.

Starting off the night is EC resident Simon Conway, who will be playing a
mixed up selection of classic electro in the shape of some Model 500,
Egyptian Lover, Jedi Knights and Newcleus to set the scene for the evening's
entertainment.

i wish i was there ... i aslo hear steve rachmad did a beautiful electro set there one year ago
