    Default Yoshimitsu vol. 4

Rite, my pc is now back in action (at last  ) so new demo is now made. Gonna be punting out a fair few cds so if anyone wants one just ask. theres loads of ppl i already owe demos to so they're going out first. the rest should be done wen i get my cdr's through in a week or so.
Theres one or two mistakes though as it was rushed, but it should give ppl a good idea of wot im about ;)

(sorry to spam 2 forums, but its both hardstyle & hard trance ;) )

There is a right time for Hard Trance and a right time for Hardstyle.

HardTrance I find is more listening in your room/car etc, and as your getting prepared for the weekend, where as: Hardstyle is fcuking bangin in a club on a quality system. ;)

Was just about to say the same thing as Ben. Don't rush your demo Yoshi! If theres a few mistakes, do it again IMO.

Coz i think it looks more professional giving a cd out than a URL
the tracklisting i aint gonna say this time coz i wanna suprise people.

Yeh i know i shouldnt really rush it but i owe so many demos already & wot with subsonica this friday i needed to get one done. Plus my other cds all had little mistakes on, forgiveable ones imo

Don't worry about a few tiny mistakes as long as the CD works as a whole. No-one on this planet is going to say 'well I like that CD all but at 4mins 26 seconds where the beat slipped half out'. As long as it isn't consistently happening, don't worry.

Definitely go with CDs too if it's for self promotion. Only people already into the sound are going to take the trouble to download it, whereas you'll get new fans by giving them a CD. Also most people, promoters especially, will listen to a mix in the car, so again it's far less likely that they will download it, write it to CD and play it in their car, especially if it's the first time they've heard of you. It also gives you a chance to put your contact details on the disc too.

well since i put my mixes up on the net, over 400 people have downloaded them in about 6 weeks...dont fancy burnin off all them cd's and sendin them all out etc! makin a few CD's to send to clubs / promoters, or ur mates etc who dont have PC's is a good idea tho, but goin thru all that hassle to send discs to strangers is a bit too much IMO. if people download ur set, and they like it, they will burn it on2 CD themselves. theyre not gonna listen 2 it in their car if they dont like it are they!! each to their own ideas tho eh! ;)

I agree it's still good exposure, the best thing is to do both I guess, but I still think a CD is better for getting bookings etc. Better to give a CD to a promoter than some 11 year old kid in Holland download it.
